(HMG Celebrity News) – “Weird Al” Yankovic was very upset with Lady Gaga, after she blew-off the pop parody master’s request to include “Perform This Way,” a send-up of her anthem “Born This Way,” on his upcoming album.

In a lengthy blog post, Yankovic explains that he was excited to shoot a video for “Perform This Way” and distribute the single officially, which would have raised money for the Human Rights Campaign.

“It has always been my personal policy to get the consent of the original artist before including my parodies on any album, so of course I will respect Gaga’s wishes,” says Yankovic.

“However, given the circumstances, I have no problem with allowing people to hear it online, because I also have a personal policy not to completely waste my stinking time.”

As it turns out the whole thing was a misunderstanding and Gaga says she is a fan of weird Al, and allegedly just never got a chance to hear the song.  TMC spoke with a Gaga source who said, “She’s busy touring and hasn’t heard the song yet. Her manager hasn’t had a chance to play it for her yet,” which is bizarre because Al claimed Gaga’s manager is the one who denied him in the first place.  Anyway with the whole uproar, going public yesterday everything has worked out.  Yankovic wrote late yesterday: Lady Gaga has approved the parody!!!
