Transformers 3 actress chosen to replace Megan Fox

(HMG) – It isn’t a done deal yet but unless negotiations fall apart, the forthcoming Transformers 3 movie and Paramount has a new gal to replace Megan Fox. Insiders tell Mike Fleming at Deadline Hollywood that director Michael Bay is down to a short-list of three actresses. On the short-list are Sarah Wright, SI Model Brooklyn Decker and newcomer Rosie Huntington-Whiteley (photo right), who has become the front-runner to replace Megan Fox as Shia LaBeouf’s love interest in Transformers 3. Bay worked the choice down to these three, because he wants to launch a fresh face and all three are relative newcomers. Decker (married to American tennis star Andy Roddick) just got her first big starring role opposite Adam Sandler and Jennifer Aniston in the comedy Just Go With It. Wright has appeared in Surfer, Dude and The House Bunny. Meanwhile Rosie Huntington-Whiteley who looks to be Bay’s selection, is almost a complete newcomer, except for appearances in the TV special The Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show.  It seems to be a long standing practice in Hollywood of plucking fashion models and throwing them into starring roles in movies, but it seems rare that it works well or that they sustain long careers.
