On Sunday, Eric Spoto shattered the raw bench pressing world record, as he put up 722 pounds without the help of any kind of supportive clothing.

That’s nearly as much as a pregnant Kim Kardashian weighs! We kid, we kid.

Missy Franklin and Michael Phelps: How Did They Fare?

Missy Franklin and Michael Phelps, two U.S. standouts from the first week of the London Olympics, each leaped back in to the pool this afternoon in hopes of adding to their already-impressive medal count.

The second set of auditions in New York City ramped up the weird on America’s Got Talent, starting with zombies chasing girls. There were some true oddities that actually had some potential to be a real Vegas act, however.

Grand Rapids, Michigan to Newsweek: Rank This!

In January, Newsweek ranked Grand Rapids, Michigan at number-10 on its list of “dying” American cities.

Did the city respond by crying over the snub? Pointing out the irony of a publication with a massive loss in readership over the last year posting any death watch that did not include itself on the list?

No. Instead, local citizens and celebrities gathered this week to set a world record for lip dubbing, as hundreds took to the streets and showed off the pride in their community via an impressively-executed rendition of Don McClean’s “American Pie.”
