Black Eyed Peas’ Will.i.am rescued from burning hotel

Reports are arriving of ‘Black Eyed Peas’ singer Will.i.am was among guests forced to flee London’s Hilton hotel this morning when the building caught fire.
The reports say the 28-story building, considered one of the most luxurious in Europe, was engulfed in smoke, but the cause of the fire is unknown at this point.
Around 1,500 people were evacuated from the hotel, located on London’s highly prestigious Park Lane after the fire department attended a call from a member of staff who reported smoke emerging from a second-floor kitchen vent, and more in the basement.

Even talented, intelligent celebrities need crib notes now and then. So does Sarah Palin for that matter. Fortunately for will.i.am, technology saved the day.
The Black Eyed Peas member almost dropped the ball during a taped performance of “Don’t Stop the Party” on the French television show Taratata.
Luckily, his phone saved the day. Sure, that’s kind of weak, but it’s a lot better than lip-synching or flubbing it altogether. Watch his last-minute save:

American Idol Performances: Fantasia, Jamie Foxx and will.i.am

American Idol sent two contestants home last night, as it was the end of the singing line for Naima Adedapo and Thia Megia.
But the sad news for fans of those finalists was pre-empted by by a couple of entertaining performances.
First, Fantasia Barrino returned to the stage that made her famous and got the crowd on its feet for a rendition of “Collard Greens & Cornbread,” giving a shout-out to Steven Tyler near the end of it. What do you think of this single? Give it a listen here:

The Black Eyed Peas Just Can’t Get Enough

“This song is about love and strength and is dedicated to our friends in Japan.”
That’s how Will.I.am introduced his group’s rendition of “Just Can’t Get Enough” last night, as The Black Eyed Peas followed Lee DeWyze and performed on the American Idol results show.
Toned down a bit from their Super Bowl spectacle, the single featured Will.I.am on the piano and Fergie in a white dress with St. Patrick’s Day-themed nail polish. A nice touch. Check out their performance now:
