Whitney Port and Lauren Conrad are so in a fight. Unfortunately, it was not caught on tape, nor does is it involve any pajamas and pillows.
Though close pals on The Hills, the two have gone their separate ways.
Why!?! “Whitney is upset because she thinks that The City was canceled to make room for Lauren’s new reality show,” a source tells Us.
“Whitney feels like she got the shaft,” from LC, insiders say.
If that’s true, it’s ironic, as Conrad’s latest MTV reality venture was scrapped as well after the network deemed it too high brow for its current lineup.

With The Hills and The City both history, Whitney Port is stepping out of her comfort zone a bit … and transitioning from girl-next-door cutie to much more.
Sure, she’s airbrushed to high heaven in some of these shots for Maxim, which apparently still exists. But her natural, non-cookie-cutter beauty still shines.
Get ready for a batch of Whitney Port pictures unlike any before …

MTV’s The City was in limbo anyway, but this should really kill it (albeit unofficially). Whitney Port is packing up her apartment in NYC and heading home to LA.
“I really love LA. My family is here, and I just love the vibe,” Whit says.
Family and friends aren’t the only things luring Whitney back to the City of Angels. Her boyfriend of seven months, Ben Nemtin, is pulling on her heartstrings.

Last week on The City, Whitney Port and Roxy Olin’s professional relationship took a turn for the worse. Now the latter is packing her things and moving out!
Her tenure at work a disaster-in-waiting from the start, Roxy leaving was inevitable. Now she’s searching for a new apartment but NYC rent isn’t that cheap.
Here’s THG’s plus-minus recap …
Roxy’s financial woes force her to ask her director/actor father, Ken Olin, for help. It’s difficult not to see Ken as the guy from Brothers & Sisters … Minus 5.

Lauren Conrad is finally returning to The Hills … right after it ends.
One week from tonight, the girl who made the MTV reality show a hit will be on hand for the Live Reunion Show after the now-sagging series mercifully goes off the air.
The reunion will immediately follow the series finale of The Hills and the season finale of The City. Whitney Port reported the LC news, as well as her own attendance:
“I am so happy to tell you all that I will be attending the reunion, as will Lauren!” Whitney wrote on her official site. “I am so excited to see everyone and catch up.”

Whitney Port knows a thing or two about style, which you know if you watch The City or just read websites like this one. The Cali cutie’s got an eye for design.
Brooklyn Decker, meanwhile, tends to make fairly decent style fashion selections herself, though it certainly never hurts to be a Sports Illustrated cover model.
Who rocked this similarly striped look better, however?

Always treading dangerously, has Whitney Port and Roxy Olin’s professional relationship finally hit the skids – and is Olivia Palermo halfway competent?
These unexpected developments made for an interesting episode of The City as our girls wrestled with increasingly high stakes in their career pursuits.
Here’s THG’s plus-minus recap …
Joe asks Olivia to interview Prabul Gurung for the Martha Stewart segment they’re doing. Olivia says she knows what she is doing. Doubtful. Minus 2.

Whenever Katy Perry hits the red carpet, as she did last night at the at the 2010 MuchMusic Video Awards, you know she’s going to make a fashion splash.
The girl can sell records. Notice we didn’t say she can sing.
The 25-year-old wore a bright blue Ashish dress with sexy cut-outs. Later in the night, she rocked “California Gurls.” We’d prefer just to look at that dress.
Meanwhile, The City star Whitney Port arrived in a colorful dress that’s right up Katy’s alley too. As always, we love her fashion sense. And hair. And smile.

Cut off by The Hills, and possibly by his wife, Spencer Pratt has been left alone with his thoughts. Fortunately, he still a Twitter account on which to share them.
Without any reality show producers to worry about, the hothead returned to the social networking site after a prolonged absence, unleashing a fury of Tweets.
No one is safe.
While he did not directly address his separation from Heidi Montag, Spencer targeted Hills stars and strangers alike in a rant easily comprising 100+ Tweets.

We often give the The City credit for its realism … at least compared to The Hills. Well, last night that was nowhere to be found, because it was Fashion Week. Again.
Seriously, wasn’t it Fashion Week, like, two weeks ago? They make the world of fashion look as glamorous as the ease at which things seem to in Whitney Port’s lap.
Elsewhere, there were some surprises (Roxy not screwing up all that badly and Kelly not hating her for a change) and more of the same (Olivia screwing up badly).

The City can be great sometimes.
Watching Olivia Palermo and her career implosion week after week is infuriating in a sense, as she shouldn’t even have the job, but the train wreck sure is entertaining.
Such was the case last night. As for Whitney Port, Anne Slowey knocked her down a peg at Elle, continuing a troubling trend of peeps saying her clothing line stinks.
Therein lies an interesting conundrum as the line between reality and reality TV gets blurry: Is she a TV star venturing into fashion, or a fashion star on TV?

We realize that as a show about women in fashion, MTV’s The City is bound to cross-promote certain magazines, designers and brands … but this is getting ridic.
It’s basically the Elle reality show at this point … this week’s title even had Elle in it. Bad as it is for Elle that Olivia Palermo works there, the PR volume makes up for it.
For us, too, it’s win-win. Olivia is painful, yet provides classic quotes (see headline).
Fortunately, MTV was a non-discriminatory cross-promoting media whore of a network last night, as The N.Y. Post‘s Page Six and Glamour got some love, too. ButMore >
