The Voice Season 4 Promo: Usher, Shakira and a Total Eclipse of the Heart
In addition to crowning Cassadee Pope The Voice winner, NBC aired its first promo for the upcoming Season 4 last night, with Usher and Shakira co-starring in the funny ad.
Stepping in for Christina Aguilera and Cee Lo Green, the two new coaches hitch a ride to the set alongside Blake Shelton, Adam Levine and one giant spaceship-chair.
The foursome immediately argues over what to play on the radio, until they arrive at a surprising consensus … and are nearly busted by host Carson Daly. Take a look …

More >The Voice Results: Who Got the Chop?
The Voice results show set a new precedent tonight.
Unlike previous seasons, the singers are no longer exclusively battling their team, and the coaches no longer have a say in who stays beyond The Voice Top 12.
In other words, it’s anyone’s game, and any team could lose two singers in a given week (some speculated this would happen to Christina right off the bat, in fact).
Did it? Find out who was sent home below …
The two eliminated singers this week are:
Adriana Louise and Michaela Paige!
Probably not a huge surprise to those who have watched Season 3 regularly. Team

For eight of the 20 singers. That’s right, only three of five would survive from each team – two chosen by your votes, and one by his or her respective coach.
Without further ado, let’s break down who moved on, and whose heart was broken …

The Voice Recap: Battle (Round) Royale
The Voice Battle Rounds have begun. Blind Auditions were so last week.
While always awesome, the Battle Rounds’ flaw in past seasons was that after a truly epic duet, one of the two participants would be sent home immediately.
This season, the judges are allowed to “steal” two battle losers from the other teams, keeping them alive. We love it. On to the head-to-head action from Monday!

The Voice: Renewed For Seasons 4 and 5!
NBC has a (rare) hit on its hands and it knows a good thing when it sees it. Well, except when picking 95 percent of its non-comedy or reality pilots. Anyway:
The Voice has been renewed for two more seasons!
NBC said in a statement:
“This pickup will assure the many dedicated Voice fans that this innovative show will continue to bring some of the most talented new voices to the world’s attention through all of next year.”
“With the recently announced addition of Usher and Shakira as rotating coaches to join Christina, Cee Lo, Adam and Blake in the next cycle, we know that
More >Christina Aguilera, Team Perform "Fighter" on The Voice
Christina Aguilera had to make an instant elimination on The Voice Monday, but not before performing her hit “Fighter” with her remaining team members.
The 31-year-old, decked out in a revealing outfit, was joined by her singing proteges Chris Mann, Ashley De La Rosa, Jesse Campbell, and Lindsey Pavao.
And that’s not all. Los Angeles’ famed Crenshaw High School choir also joined Christina and her team on stage for the performance. Take a look below!

“Mickey Mouse Club” connections only get you so far apparently.
Last night on The Voice, Christina Aguilera offered some less-than-glowing words for the falsetto-singing Tony Lucca, one of Adam Levine’s proteges.
After a rendition of “In Your Eyes,” Christina called him “one-dimensional,” said she thinks there are better voices on the show, and hopes The Voice doesn’t become about “celebrity sway” that keeps fan favorites like Tony in the competition.
Adam’s response: “Wow. That was honest.”

In the first Battle Round performance featuring members of Team Christina Aguilera, Chris Mann and Monique Benabou dueted on “The Power of Love.”
Who would advance to the next round in The Voice’s sudden death format?
This one was not hard. Blame it on the sound guys or the opponent, but Monique was getting drowned out every time her competitor sang at the same time.
She sounded quite wonderful on her own, but Chris commanded this one:

The Voice is back, and better than ever.
In the Season 2 premiere, the NBC singing competition showed why it became a big hit last spring – the chemistry of the four judges and the unexpected talent.
For those unfamiliar, the judges turn around, sight unseen, if they like someone trying out. That person then chooses which star he/she wants to coach them.
Let’s get down to business and see who joined Team Christina Aguilera, Team Blake Shelton, Team Cee Lo Green and Team Adam Levine last night …

Javier Colon Speaks on The Voice Victory
Even though Javier Colon won The Voice Wednesday night, it still hasn’t completely sunk in yet. The 34-year-old says he’s still in disbelief.
“I was 100 percent in my mind, I was ready and prepared for Carson to say, ‘The winner of The Voice is Dia Frampton,” he tells Celebuzz.
“I was going to be okay with that because I absolutely love Dia … She is amazing and deserved a win as much as we all did. We all have the same dreams and are trying to succeed in a very hard business.”
“But in that moment, when he announced my name, it was unexpected. I am very, very thankful to those who voted

More >The Voice Results: Who Made the Finals?
Tuesday night, The Voice top eight performed for a spot in the finals. Christina Aguilera, Adam Levine, Cee Lo Green and Blake Shelton scored their team’s singers. Those scores, along with America’s votes, determined who advances.
So who got sent home and who’s on to the final four?
Before we get to that, the show opened with all eight semifinalists singing a medley of “Freedom” and “Faith” by George Michael. It was pretty great:
