Israel Keyes Case: Killer’s Handwritten Notes Released
Israel Keyes’ handwritten notes, found under his body after the serial killer took his own life in an Alaska jail, have been released, according to the FBI.
The agency said the handwritten notes from Keyes offer no clues about his heinous crimes, such as the names of additional victims, however.
The notes were found on legal paper underneath Keyes, who slit his wrist December 2 with the blade of a disposable razor embedded in a pencil.
He also had strangled himself with a bed sheet.
Keyes’ writings were on a yellow legal pad, FBI special agent Mary Rook said in a statement,

Gun Sales Spike in Virginia and Colorado
While an assault weapons ban will likely go before Congress in 2013, and while many are calling for stricter gun control laws in response to the Connecticut shooting, residents in at least two states are taking a different tact:
They’re getting locked and loaded.
On Saturday, Virginia state police reported 4,166 filings for background checks on those seeking to purchase a gun, that’s a whopping 42 percent increase from the same date in 2011.
It’s also the highest tally since the state starting tracking these transactions in 1989.
Colorado also set a single-day record for

Earlier Monday, the agency released a photograph taken by its Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter showing the rover still encased in the descent capsule.
Shortly after, it touched down on the planet’s surface.
During the early hours of the morning, the rover, about the size of a small car,

New Jersey Gay Couple’s Personal Photo Used in Anti-Gay Political Attack Ad
Brian Edwards and Tom Privitere, a New Jersey couple married in 2010, were stunned – and irate – to find themselves on an anti-gay political ad campaign.
The photo of the two men had been posted innocuously on Edwards’ personal blog and was originally set against the backdrop of the N.Y. City skyline.
A doctored version shows the gay couple standing in a Colorado setting and was used in a political ad to attack a Republican who supported civil unions:
The tagline for the attack ad, which was sponsored by Public Advocate of the United States, was: “State Sen. Jean White’s Idea of ‘Family

Freshman Jessie McNamara wasn’t on campus at the time, but remembered the moment the shooting occurred. Two girls from her high school were victims.
“It was really hard, but we got through it,” she said, her voice choking with emotion.

Short story: They screwed him over (and each other a lot) big time, but that’s not illegal. The judge called the case”not legally sufficient” to proceed.
The lawsuit claimed Schon sent pictures of his junk to Tareq, and that the Journey guitarist also called him and said boastfully, “I’m f–king your
