The artist has been doing her talented thing across North America all summer, playing her usual set of hits for fans in a number of cities, but also making a point to stop and cover a song by a local artist at each venue, as well.
There was Pink and TLC in Philly; and, our favorite, Eminem in Michigan. In Vancouver this week, meanwhile, attendees were treated to Bryan Adams’ “Summer of 69.” Fun stuff as always:

While testifying in front of British lawmakers today, Rupert Murdoch was attacked by a protestor with a pie tin.
In the middle of shirking all responsibility for his newspaper’s phone-hacking scandal in the country, Murdoch was interrupted by an individual (Jonathan May-Bowles) who rushed at him with white foam inside the aforementioned desert tray.

Randy Quaid says it would be a “hoot” to tour with Charlie Sheen. Not sure that will ever happen, but it would indeed be a hoot, among other things.
Quaid floated this screwball proposition to Canada’s Globe and Mail this week. “It’s apropos to his situation, and apropos to my situation,” he said.
Whatever you say, Randy. Whatever you say.
OPENING ACT? This would be the one way to make Sheen’s tour crazier.
Quaid, who co-starred with Charlie in Major League II, No Man’s Land and The Wraith, wouldn’t be able to do U.S. shows, of course. Just Canada.

The Real Housewives fad may soon be crossing the border. Rumors are circulating that producers are currently working on a Canadian edition of the popular show which has already seen wives from Orange County to New York to Miami and beyond.
The news says Lark Productions of Vancouver is working on “early casting stages for the show” and that the show will be “along the lines of the Real Housewives” series. The show, which has been a ratings darling for Bravo since it debuts in 2006 continues to reinvent itself, it will be interesting to see how another network handles the show.

It was date night for Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart in Vancouver this weekend. Sort of.
Witnesses confirm to People that Rob, Kristen, Kellan Lutz and others dined at Spanish tapas bar La Bodega on Saturday night.
Sitting at a table tucked into the corner of the establishment, the group shared a number of offerings and left around midnight. They walked the three blocks from the restaurant to their hotel.
As outlined in this edition of The Pulse, the Breaking Dawn cast settled into Vancouver last month and will be filming there over the next few weeks.
