A new rumor suggests that Jay Leno will retire from The Tonight Show next spring. For real this time. Seriously. No backsies for a change.
A pair of high level NBC executives say the network is concerned that Jimmy Kimmel’s move to 11:35 p.m. on ABC is sucking up all the younger late-night viewers – and that Jimmy Fallon should therefore be installed as Tonight Show host before it’s too late.
“Kimmel has done extremely well,” a network veteran tells The Hollywood Reporter. “Jay wins overall, but on any given night, it’s neck-and-neck in 18-49. I understand where they might haveMore >
How does Lindsay Lohan live in such agony?
The actress suffered through day 18 of her house arrest by having several friends over to her sweet ass Venice beach house for a rooftop BBQ party.
She was seen smoking cigarettes and laughing her head off in two different outfits. Ankle monitor and all, life sure is good for the convicted thief.
Lindsay later Tweeted about a fun item on their agenda: “so excited for the season premiere of Keeping Up With The Kardashians tonight on E!”

Despite reports that Lindsay Lohan will plead no contest to theft, the star may be poised to avoid going to jail entirely, according to new reports.
Here’s the deal. By pleading no contest to misdemeanor theft, it’s likely LiLo won’t see an uptick in her 120-day sentence for violating probation.
If that takes pace, once she serves 120 days, she’s off the hook. However …
The L.A. County Sheriff’s Department, which runs the jail where Lindsay must do the time, routinely allows inmates to serve their time at home.
Provided they wear an electronic monitoring device, of course.

Taylor Swift visited the Tonight Show on Tuesday night, and her reaction to one of Jay Leno’s jokes that BOMBED was one of the highlights for us.
A lot of people think Jay is a hilarious guy. Taylor is one of them, but fortunately for all things sane, not in the way Leno likely thinks he’s funny.
Case in point? Leno struck out with what he was hoping was a charming impression of fashion photographers. The silence? Not un-awkward.
It started when Swift talked about her recent work for Cover Girl, which she says is a lot deal of fun, and even involved a thing called a “leaping coach.”
But one thing is certain: 13-year old Rebecca Black is an Internet and television sensation.
The rising, controversial star sat down with Entertainment Weekly to speak on a number of topics, including one heartfelt cause…
On donating YouTube and iTunes proceeds to earthquake/tsunami relief in Japan: I felt really bad about it. I’ve always wanted to do something about all natural disasters, and I realized now is my big opportunity where I can really help.

Her notorious hit is named “Friday,” so this is only appropriate:
Rebecca Black will be a guest on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno this Friday night, a fact that has the 13-year old more pumped than if she met Justin Bieber. Almost. Okay, not really. But it’s still cool.
“What’s even better than being able to appear in the Tonight Show with Jay Leno? Having my bestfriend be able to come with Rebecca Black on GMA
The aspiring artist also gave a shout-out to Nick Jonas, who covered her single during a charity event over the weekend. Wrote Rebecca:

Amidst a sea of J. Lo’s tears, Chris Medina was eliminated from American Idol this week.
But that isn’t stopping the aspiring singer from pursuing his dreams. The former contestant, whose fiancee suffered a brain injury in a 2009 car accident, will appear on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno this evening and perform the single “What Are Words.”
“It’s a song about making promises and fulfilling them, about telling someone you love that you’ll be there and having them be able to count on you because you said it,” Chris says. “Because the words that you say really mean something. It’s a powerfulMore >
Lady Gaga has been accused of ripping off Madonna with her newest single, “Born This Way.” On the Tonight Show last night, she didn’t really refute this.
“You know, there is really no one that is a more adoring and loving Madonna fan than me,” she said. “I am the hugest fan personally and professionally.”
It sounds like the feeling is reciprocal, too.
“I got an email from her people sending me their love and support on behalf of the single,” Gaga said. “And if the queen says it shall be, then it shall be.”

Howard Stern appeared on The Late Show with David Letterman last night and stayed true to a vow he made earlier in the day:
The radio host simply went off on Jay Leno. Saying he follows the late night talk show wars like “The Torah,” Stern referred to The Tonight Show host as someone “horrible” with “no talent.”
Letterman simply laughed along with Stern, who didn’t give the CBS icon much time to respond. Instead, he continued on about Regis, Bill Cosby and a great deal more. Check out the interview now and then choose your team:

With the release of “Never Say Never” just days away, Justin Bieber has been making the talk show rounds.
We’re guessing most fans don’t mind seeing his smiling face and shaggy hair all across their TV dial, right?
Over the last few days, Justin has talked puberty with Matt Lauer, Twitter with David Letterman and Grammy nominations with Jay Leno. The latter two interviews took place on January 28 and January 31 and we’ve posted excerpts from them below. Enjoy!
(HMG Celebrity News) – California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger appeared on NBC’s “Tonight Show” on Monday and told Jay Leno Monday night that it was the wording and perhaps a bill that he recently signed that brought down Prop 19. Acting and speaking with the freedom of an outgoing politician he signed SB 1449, into law five weeks ago, a bill which reduces the state’s punishment for possession of up to an ounce of marijuana. The maximum penalty is now $100, with no arrest or criminal record, which Schwarzenegger equated to “a speeding ticket.”

(HMG Celebrity News) – Actor/comedian Andy Richter will be serving as sidekick again to Conan O’Brien, when he returns to late-night TV on TBS next month. The two have great chemistry and a long history that is reminiscent of Johnny Carson and Ed McMahon. Richter and O’Brien first joined forces in 1993 on NBC’s “Late Night with Conan O’Brien,” until 2009. He worked with O’Brien again on the short-lived The Tonight Show with Conan O’Brien that ran from 2009 to 2010. “Conan” premieres Nov. 8.

Bristol Palin said on her Friday appearance on “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno” that she isn’t a Dancing With The Stars diva as has been reported lately.
In fact Palin says the only thing she has ever asked for while practicing with partner Mark Ballas was a velcro attached mic pack so she wouldn’t have to wear it around her belt loop.
She said of Levi “He’s changed. Night and day, definitely,” adding “The guy I fell in love with was aMore >
[HMG] – Since the Tonight Show was stolen from under him in January, Conan O’Brien has been almost a ghost. But all you Team Coco fans can relax – His new show starts on November 8, and now it even has its own name.
“It’s ‘Conan.’ Simple, pure – like the guy himself,” O’Brien says in this promo video released to TeamCoco.com.
To millions, Conan was the star of late-night TV for seventeen years – First with ‘Late Night,’ then the doomed nine-month flirtation with the ‘Tonight Show.’ He finally quit on January 22 when the NBC suits tried to use him to help save Jay Leno by moving Coco’s showMore >
