Might Brooke Shields be in?
With The View set to undergo some serious changes – neither Hasselback nor Joy Behar will return next season – sources tell Showbiz 411 that this beautiful actress is set to join the ABC talk show panel.
Barbara Walters is apparently a huge fan of Shields because she’s the right age (47), is a Princeton graduate and is also a mother.
Shields will play a significant role this spring on Army Wives Season 7. But will she play a welcome role on The View?

Real Housewives of New Jersey Bring Feud to The View, Conduct Separate Interviews

Teresa Giudice, Melissa Gorga and Kathy Wakile of The Real Housewives of New Jersey appeared on The View yesterday. But the castmates did not do so as a group.
Due to what she referred to as “family issues,” Giudice refused to conduct her interview alongside Gorgoa and Wakile, telling the co-hosts:
“We have family issues that we need to resolve and I didn’t think that today was the appropriate time, you know, in front of an audience and it to be done in just a few minutes.”
We gotta give props to the Bravo producers for staging this controversy and finding a way to extend the feud beyond

President Obama on The View: A Discussion of the Economy, Gay Marriage and Kim Kardashian

President Barack Obama fielded questions about the economy, gay marriage, Fifty Shades of Grey – all the key issues – with the women of The View this week.
He corrected Elisabeth Hasselbeck when she described the President’s and Mitt Romney’s position on gay marriage as essentially the same. Not so, he says.
Obama discussed the JP Morgan banking crisis and much more in what was a pleasant, but ultimately forgettable and unnecessary visit to the daytime gab-fest.

Justin Bieber was only given a couple minutes to run down a Top 10 List on The Late Show with David Letterman last night.
But the women of The View were far more accommodating to the singer this morning, letting him actually walk out on stage with them and treating him like one of their own.
With the star on hand to promote his new perfume, Elisabeth Hasselbeck asked Justin to sing her something (he obliged with a few notes of “Never Say Never”) and then she challenged him to a Segway race!

With everyone from Dr. Drew to Joan Rivers chiming in on Charlie Sheen’s latest scandal/attempt to get clean, Whoopi Goldberg took a few minutes to relate to this troubled actor. She, too, was a drug addict.
“I was a functioning drug addict, I showed up for work because I knew a lot of people would be out of work and I wouldn’t get a check that I needed to buy my drugs,” Whoopi said.

As her war of words with Joy Behar continued to escalate, Jersey Shore star Snooki decided to be the bigger person (for the first time in the 4’9″ pip squeak’s life).
On the Wendy Williams Show earlier in the week, Snooki apologized for tangling with The View host. Wednesday, Behar officially accepted Snooki’s mea culpa.

The View panel left Bill O’Reilly alone for five seconds today and tag-teamed another political lightning rod: Wasilla, Alaska mayoral hopeful Levi Johnston.
On the program, the man who knocked up Bristol Palin tried and failed to explain his bid for mayor of his hometown, saying you don’t need qualifications.
