Vince Young has graduated from the University of Texas.
After leading the Longhorns to a national championship win in 2005 and leaving early for the NFL draft, he finally finished what he came there to do.
The football star is the first in his family to graduate.
“This will rank No. 1 because it is what I came to school for,” Vince Young said. “I came here to get an education, and to win a national championship.”
“And now, I get to put that smile on my mom’s face.”

Chris Kyle Shot Dead; "American Sniper" Author Killed at Gun Range

Chris Kyle, a former Navy SEAL who wrote “American Sniper” about his career as a marksman in Iraq, was shot dead at a gun range in Texas Saturday.
Kyle, 38, and another man were found dead at the shooting range of Rough Creek Lodge on Saturday afternoon, the Texas Highway Patrol said.
The killer, identified as Eddie Ray Routh of Lancaster, Texas, was arrested after a brief pursuit, Trooper and spokesman Lonny Haschel confirmed.
The other victim was named as Chad Littlefield, aged 35.

McDonald’s and one of its franchisees agreed to pay $700,000 after being sued for falsely advertising food as being prepared according to Islamic dietary law.
McDonald’s and Finley’s Management Co. settled with Dearborn Heights, Mich., resident Ahmed Ahmed, a Detroit health clinic, and the Arab American National Museum.
Ahmed’s attorney, Kassem Dakhlallah, sayd he’s “thrilled” with the deal; McDonald’s and Finley’s deny any liability but say the settlement is in their best interests.

Joe Simpson pleaded no contest in his DUI case and will serve three years of probation, according to reports. He will also attend alcohol education classes.
The embattled father of Ashlee and Jessica Simpson entered the plea to one misdemeanor count via his attorney Tuesday. A second count was dismissed.
The 54-year-old, who has also been in the tabloids lately over his alleged trysts with Bryce Chandler Hill and Joey Anderson, was pulled over in August.

Actress Mayim Bialik was involved in a car accident this afternoon in Los Angeles, sustaining a severe injury that may result in the loss of a finger.
Sources tell TMZ that the crash took place around noon at the corner of Hollywood Blvd. and La Brea. The Big Bang Theory star was reportedly driving alone in a white Volva and was struck by another vehicle, which was carrying tourists from Chile.
An ambulance soon arrived and witnesses say there was “tons and tons of blood everywhere,” adding that Bialik’s finger was “almost completely severed… it was just hanging there.”
