Natalie Portman steals thunder in new ‘Thor’ promo
[HMG Celebrity News] – The trailer for ‘Thor’ which aired during the Super Bowl left most comic-book connoisseurs unimpressed. But this new remix perhaps will light a fire. Chris Hemsworth ably brings Thor to life, but most of the talk is about Natalie Portman.
For those who are not yet addicted, the film tells the story of a mighty warrior [Thor] whose life among the gods ends when he restarts a war. For this he is banished from the realm of Asgard and must live among mortals. But once on Earth he redeems himself by defending its people against Asgard’s darkest villain.

The snitch claims 33-year old Ben [seen here]was so obsessed with Ms. Portman he ignored all the other dancers who worked on the set.
“They would go to do their shots and wouldn’t know any of the choreography because he was so involved with helping ‘Natalie” the source tells Page Six. “There was a lot of drama.”

‘Saw’ director James Wan to helm ‘Nightfall’ vampire flick
[HMG] – Having seen the box-office numbers for Twilight, Hollywood has decided to bring us more of the same. Now ‘Saw’ director James Wan has been chosen to direct ‘Nightfall,’ the film adaptation of a book about life in a vampire-run prison.
Published in 2007 the book tells the story of David Paxton, a hard-working survivalist who is sent to a tough prison in Texas, and has no idea that it’s secretly run by vampires – who feast on the inmates. Understandably keen to escape, Paxton forms an alliance with a serial killer and turns the place into a war zone to try and get free.

Scottish author Andrew O’Hagan has now told the Telegraph that his upcoming book ‘The Life and Opinions of Maf the Dog, and of His Friend Marilyn Monroe’ is being made into a film starring Angelina, 35, as the iconic actress.

CBS Films bags Jason Statham movie ‘The Mechanic’
[HMG] – In another example of the networks trying to copy the success found on cable, CBS Films has just bought the distribution rights to a remake of the Charles Bronson classic ‘The Mechanic,’ starring Jason Statham.
Made in 1972 – the same year Statham was born – the original tells the story of a successful hit-man [Bronson] who tries to teach his murderous craft to an apprentice – played in the remake by ‘X-Men’s Ben Foster.
