Maybe it’s just a ruse for attention but Taylor Momsen sure has our attention. The singer made waves earlier this month in an interview with Elle Magazine in which she announced her retirement from acting. “I quit acting, actually. I quit Gossip Girl and now tour and am in a band and that’s pretty much all I want to do. Hopefully I’ll be able to only do that for the rest of my life.”

Gene Simmons will no longer be performing at the Michael Jackson tribute concert set for October after the promoters pulled the plug on KISS hard.
The rocker, who accused Michael of being a pedophile, has been dropped from the roster just one day after it was announced Gene would perform.
Just last year, the rocker said he was child molester, in no uncertain terms: “There is no question in my mind he molested those kids. Not a doubt.”
The promoters now tell TMZ, “We have listened to the fans and are grateful to have been alerted to these unfortunate statements by Gene Simmons.”

Kate Gosselin is surely CRUSHED that Kate Plus 8 got canceled and her 15 minutes seem to be winding down, but there’s one thing she does NOT miss.
That thing is Jon Gosselin.
“I know that I’m glad to be divorced and on my own,” she says, addressing her ex in a clip from one of the show’s final episodes, airing Monday.
“I wouldn’t change my marriage. I have eight awesome kids that I would not change,” Kate adds. “But people certainly can change and if they’re not who you thought they were and if they’re not for you, you move on. And I have.”

Taylor Momsen just turned 18.
That’s still extremely young, but the Pretty Reckless singer told Elle magazine that she has “quit acting” and wants to focus solely on her music career:
“I quit Gossip Girl and now tour and am in a band. That’s pretty much all I want to do. Hopefully, I’ll be able to only do that for the rest of my life.”
In November, Momsen began an “indefinite hiatus” from Gossip Girl amid numerous headlines about her shocking wardrobe and interviews.

The handsome young artist, who turned 22 yesterday and whose solo album comes out on October 11, will kick start a series of concerts in Boston on September 6. He’ll be joined on the road by Jay Sean and hit cities such as Chicago and Los Angeles.

Teen Mom star Amber Portwood was rushed to the hospital in Indiana today, and reports from TMZ state that she threatened to take her own life.
Cops in Anderson, Ind., say someone called police from Amber’s home claiming the 21-year-old “was depressed and threatening to end her life.”
Amber Portwood did not appear to be injured when the cops arrived and she was promptly taken to a nearby medical facility for further evaluation.

The May 16 release date is just one week before her new album comes out in full, and will be the fourth track from Born This Way released ahead of time.
