The IRS is looking to collect tens of thousands of dollars from income allegedly earned by Britney Spears‘ former husband – $57,615.39 to be precise.
A federal tax lien was filed against the FedEx man February 14 (Happy Valentine’s Day!) claiming he owes $30,517.16 from ’09 and $27,098.23 from ’10.

Mitt and Ann Romney‘s 2011 adjusted gross income (AGI) was about $18.6 million, with their total federal income tax coming to $1.9 million, or 14.1 percent.

A Florida judge delayed his decision today on whether to let George Zimmerman out of jail on bond a second time. Meanwhile, both prosecutors and the man accused of murdering Trayvon Martin and laid out elements of their case at the bond hearing.
Judge Kenneth Lester revoked Zimmerman’s $150,000 bond earlier this month, believing the defendant and wife Shellie Zimmerman intentionally tried to mislead the court about their financial situation in April so he would be granted bond.
Zimmerman denies lying and wants the $150,000 reinstated.

Lauryn Hill Pleads Guilty, Faces Years in Prison For Failure to Pay Taxes

Singer Lauryn Hill just pleaded guilty to a federal crime, admitting she did not file several years’ worth of tax returns in the past decade, and failed to do so on purpose no less.
The 37-year-old faces up to three years in prison as a result. Hill failed to pay up in 2005, 2006, and 2007, when she earned more than $1.8 million.
When the judge asked if Hill “intentionally and willingly” failed to file the returns, she said simply, “Yes.” The Fugees frontwoman was released on $150,000 bail.

Richard Hatch, winner of Survivor and current contestant on Celebrity Apprentice, is going to jail for not paying taxes for the money he won on Survivor.
The reality star has served more than three years for tax evasion already. He has been under supervised release and was supposed to re-file his taxes.
Hatch, who apparently can’t outwit, outplay or outlast the Internal Revenue Service, failed to do so again and did not fork over taxes from 2000-01.

Naomi Campbell Owes IRS More Than $63k

Naomi Campbell isn’t just good at throwing phones at assistants, she’s also good at not paying her taxes, according to The Detroit News Campbell owns the IRS $63,487 which has forced the IRS to file a tax lien against the supermodel.
The lien was filed on July 28th for non-payment of U.S. taxes. The lien was sent to the Carnegie Hall Tower Skyscraper in New York City which is owned by Campbell.
According to the filing, the money owed comes from unpaid 2009 taxes.
