Billy Joel Cancels HarperCollins Book Deal

Singer Billy Joel has cancelled his HarperCollins book deal for The Book Of Joel a memoir he planned to write for the publisher.
According to the publisher, the book was to be an “emotional ride” that would speak of Joel’s three failed marriages and his various substance abuse battles.
The book was scheduled for a June release and would have contained “never before revealed” details about Billy Joel.
Apparently Joel abruptly quit the book with no notice. Joel said of the cancellation:

Every Charlie Sheen interview and quote is more hilarious than the previous one, until we’re forced to remember: the guy is a father of five. He’s somehow been the primary parent of two-year old twins during the last few weeks of partying and ranting.
But that’s no longer the case. Hours after Brooke Mueller successfully filed a restraining order against her ex-husband, authorities arrived at Sheen’s house last night and took little Bob and Max into custody.

Lindsay Lohan Likely Facing 30 – 60 Day Sentence

(HMG Celebrity News) – In light of her failing two recent drug tests a bench warrant was issued for Lindsay Lohan’s arrest, yesterday. The warrant is issued but on hold until Friday at 8:30 a.m. PST, when Lohan is due back in court, TMZ reports. She reportedly had cocaine and amphetamines in her system, just days after spending 2 weeks behind bars and 23 days in rehab. Lohan was convicted twice in 2007 of driving under the influence (DUI) and missed a court-mandated substance abuse counseling classes. [HMG Celebrity News] – When the news broke last month that Paris Hilton had been arrested for possessing cocaine most people said she’d find a way to duck out of the charges. And they were right.
The 29-year old socialite appeared in a Las Vegas courtroom this morning and pleaded guilty to possessing the drug and obstructing an officer, in return for which she got one year probation, a $2,000 fine, 200 hours of community service and must also complete a substance abuse program.
“You have been sentenced to one year in Clark County Detention Center,” Judge Joe Bonaventure told the defendant.

In his attempt to overcome a battle with substance abuse, the douchebag baby daddy of little Mason Dash is now receiving support from an unlikely source: Kris Jenner.
Said Scott’s most vocal critic (while, of course, doing publicity for season five of Keeping Up with the Kardashians): “I think that Scott has really come a long way. My main concern is for my daughter Kourtney and my grandson Mason, and I think Scott had some issues he was really grappling with and has come around.”
