Britney Spears Legal Team Cites "Medical Issue" as Basis for Conservatorship

Something is wrong with Britney Spears.
Observers have been saying this about the singer for years, dating way back to 2007 when she shaved her head and attacked the paparazzi with an umbrella – but now actual legal representatives for the superstar are making it official.
Britney’s lawyers filed documents in court today relating to her four-and-a-half year conservatorship, requesting that certain records remain sealed because they are “highly sensitive” and would cause “irreparable harm and immediate danger” if released.

It’s unclear if she’ll really end up doing it, but it’s not as far-fetched as it first seemed. According to People, it looks like the gig is more than a remote possibility.
“There have been talks” with Spears and her team, a source says “Anything is possible.” Reveals a second source: “I’ve heard they are in negotiations.”
Should Spears, 30, fill one of the open judge seats on the reality competition, she would likely slow the rampant speculation about who will join the cast.

Well, the second part of that is up for debate.

Literally. That’s the name of the track. The 29-year-old pop princess revealed the exciting news backstage at the 2011 MTV VMAs, telling the network, “The song is… really different and it’s nothing [like what] I’ve heard before!”
“I really wanted to deliver the song and I was thinking of a really cool concept for the video just to make it interesting,” said the 29-year-old, who was the recipient of a special VMA tribute and some high praise from Lady Gaga.

Kicking off her Femme Fatale tour on Thursday in Sacramento, Calif., the star said it all with this pre-concert Tweet: “It’s Opening Night BITCH!!!!”

In what you could call an open secret of a show – she acknowledged it was in the works but with little official PR – Britney Spears rocked the Palms Casino Resort’s Rain Nightclub in Las Vegas Friday, performing three tracks from Femme Fatale.
In a 45-minute set that included three short breaks for costume and stage changes – during which Jersey Shore’s Pauly D kept the crowd of about 1,500 warmed up – Brit performed “Hold It Against Me,” “Big Fat Bass” and “Till The World Ends.”
