Amanda Bynes’ DUI arrest Friday has left those close to her scratching their heads.
Yesterday, her dad denied she was drunk during the incident, in which she side-swiped a cop and ended up in jail on suspicion of DUI. Now friends are weighing in.
“This DUI was definitely just a serious lapse in judgment,” a friend tells People. “She hit a wall personally and professionally [in '08]. I think she’s been a little lost since.”

The socialite refused her drug test Friday, one that she was required to take as part of her custody settlement with ex-husband Charlie Sheen.
