Miley Cyrus and Snoop Lion Release Video for "Ashtrays and Heartbreaks”

Miley Cyrus and Snoop Lion have more in common than a love of marijuana.
The artists also share credit on “Ashtrays and Heartbreaks,” a track off Snoop’s “Reincarnated,” and they’ve just teamed up to release the official music video.
It features both Miley and Snoop singing against their own reflections, while also blowing out some smoke between verses. What else would you expect from a song with such a title?

Snoop Dogg / Snoop Lion has offered an official endorsement of President Barack Obama, laying out his arguments in concise, not entirely illogical fashion.
At the Toronto International Film Festival, he made the case for giving Obama four more years in an expletive-filled, absurd, yet compelling manner.
“We need to give Obama four more years,” he said. “Bush f*%ked up for eight years, so you gotta at least give him eight years. He cleaned half the $h!t up in four years.”

Snoop Dogg wants us to now call him Snoop Lion. But might we soon be calling him an American Idol judge instead?
Okay, definitely not.
But the rapper did say in an interview today that he’d be up for taking a spot on the Season 12 panel, causing us to at least fantasize over just how hilarious such a scenario would be.
With Mariah Carey on board, and names such as Brad Paisley, Nick Jonas and Pharrell Williams being bantered about, we can’t say we’re overly excited for Idol‘s return in 2013.

Nate Dogg Dies at 41

Hip-hop star Nate Dogg died Tuesday, according to reports.
Despite being around seemingly forever, Nate (real name Nathaniel Dwayne Hale) was just 41 and had battled serious health issues for several years.
Nate survived strokes in 2007 and 2008. His smooth vocal collaborations with Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Warren G., Dr. Dre and others led to many hits.

In her new movie Bad Teacher Cameron Diaz plays a pot smoking teacher and apparently the “pot smoking” part isn’t too far from the truth.
During her recent appearance on Lopez Tonight the actress admitted that not only did she buy pot in high school, but that she purchased that marijuana from fellow classmate Snoop Dogg.
Diaz told George Lopez:

Look for Snoop to run into Tristan Wilds’ Dixon at a car wash, as the West Beverly student will both freak out and attempt to impress his hip hop idol.

Prince William and Kate Middleton Wedding to Be Broadcast in 3D?!?

It’s possible this 3D thing is getting out of hand. Royally out of hand, we should say.
Following in the overpriced, extraneous footsteps of every other movie produced in Hollywood these days, British networks are reportedly considering airing the Kate Middleton and Prince William nuptials in 3D.
“That is obviously of some interest, but our responsibility is to bring things everybody can see on air and 3D has a very limited footprint,” one BBC executive said.
A solution could be to pipe the 3D broadcasts into certain public places, such as pubs and movie theaters.
