American Idol sent two contestants home last night, as it was the end of the singing line for Naima Adedapo and Thia Megia.
But the sad news for fans of those finalists was pre-empted by by a couple of entertaining performances.

The Black Eyed Peas Just Can’t Get Enough

“This song is about love and strength and is dedicated to our friends in Japan.”
That’s how Will.I.am introduced his group’s rendition of “Just Can’t Get Enough” last night, as The Black Eyed Peas followed Lee DeWyze and performed on the American Idol results show.
Toned down a bit from their Super Bowl spectacle, the single featured Will.I.am on the piano and Fergie in a white dress with St. Patrick’s Day-themed nail polish. A nice touch. Check out their performance now:

Kim Kardashian says that West is responsible for convincing her to torture the public with her “singing” voice, telling MTV:
“Kanye was actually one of the people who really talked me into doing it and telling me, like, ‘Hey, look, what do you guys do for fun? You guys go shopping, you go to the movies. Kind of step into our world for a second and have fun, and we go to the studio.’”

For his latest music video, Kanye West receives a little help from his friends. Fortunately, Kim Kardashian isn’t one of them.
Directed by Jake Nava, the video for “Monster” features Rick Ross, Jay-Z, Nicki Minaj, and Justin Vernon. Says Ross of the female rapper’s role in the following single:
“That was the day Nicki Minaj earned my respect as a lyricist. Before that day she was a great entertainer, but for me to get in the studio with my own two eyes and see her write her verse, I knew that was gonna be one of the greatest verses of this year.”

Willow Smith has an entire nation whipping their hair. But why?
What is the motivation behind the nine-year’s hit new single?
“Whip My Hair means don’t be afraid to be yourself, and don’t let anybody tell you that that’s wrong. Because the best thing is you,” Smith told MTV this week.
In the official video for the single, viewers watch as a bunch of kids whip their hair around and splatter paint on the walls of a school.

The 19-year-old daughter of former Alaska governor Sarah Palin is set to join the speaker circuit and make between $15,000-30,000 per speech, reports say.
