For The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, the show went on last night.
Following weeks of scrutiny and questions over whether Bravo would postpone the premiere, edit it heavily or even cancel the season following the suicide of Russell Armstrong, viewers watched an episode not too different from the one originally filmed. (A scene where Taylor goes lingerie shopping was cut.)
Before getting to exciting material such as who drank out of $550 champagne glasses, though, the installment opened with the ladies sitting around and discussing the tragedy, as seen here:More >
Single Ronnie made a return to Jersey Shore last night, while Pauly and Deena channeled Season 3 Snooki and Vinny with their potential, awkward “romance.”
As for Season 4 Snooki, she was having issues with Jionni, and guess who was there to help her through them? This Situation? Not a good situation.
The second episode of the season offered plenty of amusing Jersey Shore quotes, as always, but the major drama of the summer is still to come.
Let’s break down the fourth season opener, THG +/- style!
Minus 5 for the immediate continuation of the “romantic” scene with Pauly and Deena that wasMore >
Because The Bachelorette took July 4 off, the remainder of the season has been condensed, with the Men Tell All filler special airing Sunday.
Monday, the season finale and After the Final Rose will air.
Useless as the Men Tell All can be there’s a lot to discuss this season, if they actually go there: Guys dumping Ashley Hebert and not vice versa, Ryan coming back for seemingly no reason, the debacle that is Bentley, etc.
Ashley thinks the next Bachelor should be … Ames?

Despite reports of their imminent replacement at the end of the next season’s filming, the Jersey Shore cast is not going anywhere just yet.
“I think we’re irreplaceable,” Paul “DJ Pauly D” DelVecchio said Friday.
At an appearance at the Palms in Vegas, he adds, “I don’t think they could replace us. They’d just be people trying to be like us, anyway.”
On Friday, MTV denied the reports, with a spokesman they have “no plans to recast the show,” which recently finished filming Season 4 in Italy.
“It’s more of the guys getting into the drama,” Pauly said of the gang’s adventures in the oldMore >
With Jersey Shore, MTV caught lightning in a bottle and is doing all it can to strike while the iron is hot, milking the guidos/ettes for all they’re worth.
That relationship goes both ways, of course.
The cast members have reportedly secured yet another pay raise, negotiating new contracts for the upcoming Jersey Shore Season Five in Seaside.
Pauly, Sitch, Ronnie, Vinny, Sammi, JWoww, Deena and effing Snooki will be earning more than ever before when their antics resume stateside.
Sources connected with the say that while MTV has green-lit a fifth season, the gang refused to take partMore >
Tim McCormack getting drunk on The Bachelorette season premiere made for an awkward situation, but looks tame in comparison to what’s up next.
With the field slashed from 25 to 18, Ashley Hebert made her first round of cuts Monday. But as we know, it only gets more gut-wrenching from here.
There’s the matter of Bentley and his true intentions. There’s emotional turmoil and hard decisions. There’s a great deal of heartbreak on the horizon.
Check out The Bachelorette spoilers here to read how it plays out. Now, here’s an extended preview, which aired last night, for the rest of the season …
David Cook returned to his old stomping grounds last night.
Before the American Idol results were announced, fans were treated to an energetic performance of the Season 7 winner’s new single, “The Last Goodbye.”
A month ago or so, he appeared on the show to do the Simple Minds classic “Don’t You (Forget About Me),” but this time he shared with us his own song.
Dressed in a dark suit and strumming on an oversized white guitar, Cook showed why viewers made him the next American Idol a few years back:
[HMG Celebrity News] – With her career and her ego now revived by American Idol, Jennifer Lopez is apparently planning a reality show of her own. She wants to find the best musical talent in Latin America.
The 41-year old singer has teamed with Idol’s boss, Simon Fuller and they’re now talking to the networks about producing a show called ‘Que Viva.’ In this, J-Lo and her husband Marc Anthony would tour the southern parts of this wondrous continent in search of the next Latin legend.
But that raises a question – With her own show in play would J-Lo still do Idol as well? Her contractMore >
Lauren Alaina sometimes holds something back on stage. Not last night.
It’s true that, in covering Sara Evans’ hit “Born to Fly,” she stayed close to the original version. But it’s a great country song to stick close to the original of.
Will she spread her wings and truly fly to new heights this season on Idol? If this performance is any indication, she’s still scratching the surface of her talent:
Tired of long-distance love, Kim Kardashian plans to move to NYC “by October” to be closer to her beau of five months, NBA star Kris Humphries.
“Kim wants to live in NYC when Kris’ season starts again,” an insider says, making this the second such report about Kim we’ve seen in a week.
Of kourse, it’s not all about Kris.
“She and Kourtney are probably going to film another season of their E! show [Kourtney & Kim Take New York] anyway, so it just makes sense.”

Paul McDonald was not voted off American Idol this week (did you see who was?!?). But the season 10 finalist has another reason to be excited these days, according to E! News sources:
He’s dating Twilight Saga star Nikki Reed.
The pair first met at the premiere for Red Riding Hood (where McDonald is actually caught on camera, admitting he doesn’t know who Reed is) and have been “hanging out” ever since.
The actress has been off filming Breaking Dawn in Vancouver, while McDonald is busy in Hollywood these days, but an insider says they keep in touch via Skype. And this could give McDonaldMore >
Stop the presses. Kim Kardashian, the Armenian princess of Calabasas, may be moving to the Big Apple. The reason is simple: Kris Humphries is there.
It’s not a done deal yet, but she’s talking about it.
With Kourtney & Kim Take New York wrapped for the season, her “work” is mostly based in L.A. Still, the allure of her man may draw her back east …
Kris Humphries grabs rebounds for the New Jersey Nets with proficiency, much like Kim grabs $10K for shilling for various products on Twitter. It’s a good fit.
Apparently, she’s still given this some thought, telling sources: “We have the storeMore >
He can make us swoon, but can Justin Bieber make us laugh?
As first reported by The Los Angeles Times, the singer in negotiations to star opposite Ashton Kutcher in a comedy titled What Would Kenny Do?. It would focus on a high school student who receives guidance from a grown-up version of himself.
For Bieber, who guest-starred earlier this season on CSI, the role would make his first foray into fiction on the big screen.
With Never Say Never, of course, the 17-year old broke records and proved he has major box office power. Would you go see a comedy that featured him and Kutcher?

Jacob Lusk has a tendency to be overly dramatic on American Idol. It’s what has made this season 10 finalist a polarizing singer.
It’s also what concerned Jimmy Iovine last night, as the producer was afraid Lusk’s style would negatively affect his cover of “Sorry Seems to Be the Hardest Word” and Jacob might “blow the whole thing.”
J. Lo thought the rendition was “beautiful,” while Steven Tyler said both halves of the song just “blew me away.” Do you agree? Or was there almost too much emotion in this performance? Watch and decide.
