During her run as a judge on American Idol, Paula Abdul would often shed tears of happiness over a contestant’s audition.
But the singer unleashed a cry of a different kind on Valentine’s Day this year, as a recording of her 911 call has hit the Internet. In it, Abdul is in hysterics because her (unidentified) boyfriend won’t let her out of the car.
Driving along the highway, near Santa Barbara, Abdul sobs to the operator: “I wanna go, and he won’t let me!”

Before Katy Perry’s U.S. tour begins this June, the pride of Santa Barbara is taking her California Dreams global. Her concert swing kicked off last night in Lisbon.

Janet Jackson Announces North American Tour Dates

Janet Jackson is bringing her catalog of hits to a city near you.
The veteran artist has announced a slew of North American dates for an upcoming tour that will feature singles from her chart-topping album “Number Ones.”
“These concerts will be different from anything I have ever done,” Jackson writes on her website. “I will be as up close and personal as possible. These concerts are not about special effects. This is a love affair between me and those of you who have supported me and my work for all these years. I’ll be singing and dancing from my heart.”

Anne Francis Passes Away

On a day that already saw us bid farewell to Pete Postlethwaite, the acting community is also mourning the loss of Anne Francis. The actress died at age 80.
The sweet-voiced blonde was perhaps best known as a sexy Jane Bond-type on TV’s Honey West in the mid-’60s and in the ’50s sci-fi hit Forbidden Planet.
Never a big-name star but always a cult favorite, she passed away of complications of pancreatic cancer at a retirement home in Santa Barbara, Calif.

Actor Randy Quaid and his bat$h!t insane wife Evi once again face arrest warrants after failing to show up for a Santa Barbara, Calif., court hearing yesterday.
The allegations against them? That they were crashing in a guest house of a Montecito home they once owned. Just staying there. Seriously, this happened.

Randy Quaid And Wife Arrested, Charged With Squatting

Randy Quaid, best know for his role of Uncle Eddie in the National Lampoons series and his wife Evi were arrested on Saturday and charged in Santa Barbara, California court with squatting at a home they reportedly sold, but have living in for more than 10 years.
According to the police report, the Quaid’s were charged with a felony burglary charge. The couple were handcuffed and led away from the Montecito, California home when the property’s owner called police and said the couple were living there illegally.

Barf…Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag were recently spotted smooching while drinking champaign as they celebrated Heidi’s 24th birthday at the Santa Barbara zoo.
PEOPLE is also reporting that the estranged married couple dined together at the Santa Barbara pier.
