Rosie O’Donnell has revealed that she married girlfriend Michelle Rounds this summer in a secret NYC wedding before the latter’s tumor-related surgery.
O’Donnell and Rounds tied the knot in a private ceremony June 9.
Both women recently suffered medical setbacks and had originally pushed their wedding back to next summer. Two weeks ago, Rosie suffered a heart attack.
Rounds’ Desmoid tumors, removed in June, were described by Rosie as “a mysterious, rare – too often fatal disease that affects 3 in a million people.”

Congratulations are still very much in order to Rosie O’Donnell and fiancee Michelle Rounds, but the talk show host told her studio audience today that the couple has been engaged for weeks.
She merely chose last Friday to go public with the good news.
“Michelle said to me a few months ago, when we got engaged, she said, ‘How come you didn’t say it on your show?’ And I was like, ‘Honey, I don’t know how.’ I didn’t know how to say it,” O’Donnell said yesterday.
