Robin Roberts underwent a bone marrow transplant last week, as the highly respected journalist will need many weeks to recover and hopefully overcome a rare blood disorder known as Myelodysplastic Syndrome.
Millions of fans out there are sending Roberts their best.
Except for Tom Shales.
While The Chicago-Sun Times television critic undoubtedly hopes Roberts makes a full recovery, that wasn’t the focus of an article he penned last week in which he accused Good Morning America of using Roberts’ serious illness as a”promotional opportunity.”

Things are long over with Chord Overstreet, and now Emma Roberts has a new beau! Who’s the lucky guy? American Horror Story star Evan Peters.
The two were seen together at the wedding of stylist Emily Current. Minka Kelly, Mandy Moore, and Ashley Tisdale were also in attendance.
Roberts and Peters have reportedly been dating for a few months now, after shooting the film Adult World together. The film also starred John Cusack and Shannon Woodward.
Roberts, who is Julia Roberts‘ niece, is only 21 years old, while Peters is 25.

Don’t get us wrong. We love our jobs, delivering the latest in celebrity gossip, debating such ethical dilemmas as whether or not Lindsay Lohan should appear on Dancing with the Stars.
It’s a good life.
But sometimes we wish were an A-list actress. That way, we could be like Julia Roberts and get paid $1.5 million for a 45-second commercial that doesn’t involve a single line on our part. Case in point, the following Lavazza ad:

Eric Roberts: Kate Gosselin is a Child Abuser!

In random but true news, Eric Roberts, actor, brother of Oscar-winner Julia and father of Emma Roberts, has come out and labeled Kate Gosselin a child abuser.
“I know she’s fading from the news, but hopefully someone’s still got their eye on the wellbeing[sic] of her kids. Kate Gosselin is a child abuser,” Roberts said.
He expanded on his opinion to the blog Small Town Gosselins, which chronicles Kate and the eight kids she shared with now ex-husband Jon Gosselin.

[HMG] – We’ve reported before on major casting problems for Dr. Drew and season four of Celebrity Rehab, but it seems the good doctor has booked a new patient: Eric Roberts – brother of Julia Roberts – is checking in for some sessions.
The 54-year old actor and vegan has played more than 180 roles in TV and movies in a 36-year career, including parts in Law & Order, CSI, ‘Batman: The Dark Knight’ and ‘Fight Club’ – And that’s a work history almost unheard of in Hollywood.
