Samuel L. Jackson to debut on Broadway as Martin Luther King

[HMG Celebrity News] – It’s now forty-three years since Dr. Martin Luther King was murdered in Memphis and Samuel L. Jackson has just signed to make his Broadway debut in a play that explores the great man’s last days.
Rumors of Sam’s decision to take his bow on Broadway had been around for some time, but although the news is now official it’s tainted by the fact that Halle Berry, who was all set for a major supporting role, can’t take part because of her child custody problems.
Called ‘The Mountaintop’ the play is set on April 3, 1968 – the day before Dr. King died. He arrives at Room 306

Rosie O’Donnell Defends Chris Brown, Criticizes Robin Roberts, Implies Racism at Work

Looks like Chris Brown has an unlikely ally in the celebrity world: Rosie O’Donnell.
The outspoken talk show host said on her radio show Friday that Chris’ detractors, along with Good Morning America’s Robin Roberts, may be guilty of racism.
That’s because, O’Donnell, says, people criticized Brown’s window-breaking tantrum on GMA more than, she argues, the equivalent by white stars is lambasted.
“I just don’t know why this kid seems to be held to a different standard than anyone else,” O’Donnell tells executive producer Janette Barber on the program.

Reese Witherspoon made her first appearance since marrying Jim Toth at Sunday’s Academy of Country Music Awards, and the newlywed looked amazing.
Oh yeah, and Robert Pattinson was there too.

Nate Dogg Dies at 41

Hip-hop star Nate Dogg died Tuesday, according to reports.
Despite being around seemingly forever, Nate (real name Nathaniel Dwayne Hale) was just 41 and had battled serious health issues for several years.
Nate survived strokes in 2007 and 2008. His smooth vocal collaborations with Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Warren G., Dr. Dre and others led to many hits.

Prince Harry has been named as Prince William’s best man for his upcoming wedding to Kate Middleton, set to take place on April 29 at Westminster Abbey.
According to a statement released by Buckingham Palace:
“Prince William has asked his brother, Prince Harry, to be his best man,” and “Miss Catherine Middleton has asked her sister, Miss Philippa Middleton, to be her maid of honor.”

(HMG Celebrity News) – Remember that porn family Charlie Sheen was dreaming of building when he was on his latest bender? He almost got his wish. Sheen’s porn fling, Kacey Jordan, who broke the story on Charlie’s bender, reportedly sent him a text message that said she was pregnant.
