Now as word of Beyonce’s lip syncing the anthem to pre-recorded music has spread like wildfire, does her performance at President Obama’s inauguration feel like a big let down– her performance a little less authentic?
Everyone knows Beyonce has the pipes and the moves to pull off singing at such a major event. But why the backlash? Perhaps the recent admission to fraud and doping by Lance Armstrong has the public reeling from all the lies and the faker. And now the inaugural possibly tainted by a lip sync performance which seems to counter the ideals of what a Presidential inaugurationMore >
It’s official: we have four more years of Barack Obama as Commander-in-Chief.
The President was sworn in for the second time today, as Chief Justice John Roberts delivered the oath of office in the White House Blue Room a little before noon.
It will take place again in public tomorrow on the steps of the U.S. Capitol.
Following the mishap in 2009, when Roberts misplaced the word “faithfully,” the judge read the oath this time around from a piece of paper.
And all went smoothly, at least according to Sasha Obama, who reportedly turned to her father soon after his promise toMore >
No more Mr. Nice Jay?
On last night’s edition of The Tonight Show, the host went especially hard after President Barack Obama on two issues:
His handling of the mess in Libya, where four Americans were killed and emails showed the White House was made aware of details it failed to quickly make public.
“Well, ‘Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell’ is back,” Leno cracked. “Not for gays in the military. It’s President Obama’s new policy for questions about Libya. Don’t ask, don’t tell.”

Genevieve Cook, an ex-girlfriend of President Obama, shares some intimate details about their relationship in a new book about the Commander-in-Chief.
Barack Obama: The Story, by Pulitzer Prize winning journalist David Maraniss, is the most thorough account of the President’s life not written by Obama.
Vanity Fair published excerpts Wednesday. While The Story contains no sordid, shocking tales of impropriety, it portrays Obama as extremely ambitious.

If you haven’t seen the video of President Obama singing Al Green at a fundraiser at New York City’s legendary Apollo Theater last week, you need to.
No matter what you think of his views, the Prez proved with his riff on “Let’s Stay Together” that he’s got pipes! And we weren’t the only ones impressed.
Friday, American Idol executive producer Nigel Lythgoe Tweeted an official offer to the Commander in Chief that he can’t refuse. Or at least he shouldn’t:
“@BarackObama we loved your vocal performance so much we’d love to invite you on to #AmericanIdol this SeasonMore >
With conspiracy theories swirling, President Obama has decided to release at least one photo of a dead Osama bin Laden, according to The Drudge Report.
No word on when the White House plans to release the first image. However, a senior U.S. official tells CNN that there were three sets of pictures taken:
- Photos of the raid where Osama bin Laden was killed.
- Photos of bin Laden’s body taken after the raid.
- Photos of the late terrorist’s burial at sea.
Why not show proof you can that Osama bin Laden is really dead? Because the photo that most clearly shows his face is also the mostMore >
Now we’ve seen it all.
Donald Trump not only praised President Barack Obama on Twitter, he’s called for a moratorium on debating party politics. Meaning he may actually STFU!
“I want to personally congratulate President Obama and the men and women of the Armed Forces for a job very well done,” the business mogul Tweeted.
In response to the death of Osama bin Laden, he added: “I am so proud to see Americans standing shoulder to shoulder, waving the flag in celebration.”

Donald Trump is not a big fan of Jerry Seinfeld after the comedian reportedly pulled out from an event appearance for the Donald’s son’s charity.
Seinfeld was scheduled to attend a September 13 event for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and the Eric Trump Foundation, but he canceled.
According to reports, Jerry bailed based on Trump’s remarks about President Obama, which didn’t sit well with The Donald for a variety of reasons.
“I just learned you canceled a show for my son’s charity,” Donald Trump wrote to Seinfeld in an open letter, accusing him of backing out simply:

[HMG Celebrity News] – Donald Trump’s comments about President Obama’s right to run this country have upset many people, and among them is Jerry Seinfeld. Jerry was booked for a charity show run by Trump’s son but because of the fuss he’s pulled out.
In January the 56-year old comedian agreed to appear at a benefit for St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital at Trump’s lavish golf club in Briarcliff Manor, New York. It’s due to be hosted by Don’s son, Eric on September 13. But because of his dad’s remarks about Mr. Obama Jerry quit, and now the Donald is peeved;

Things got awfully heated on Good Morning America yesterday as Donald Trump discussed his potential presidential run with ABC’s George Stephanopoulos.
In short, George took him to task and the Donald didn’t appreciate it.
Stephanopoulos mentioned that some Republican heavyweights call him a “flawed messenger for the party” and “a joke candidate.” Why do they think this?

In February, Sarah Palin said the “birther” issue – whether President Obama was really born in the U.S. – was a “distraction” from more important issues.
Over the weekend, though, Palin defended real estate mogul Donald Trump’s recent attempts to raise doubts about Obama’s citizenship, saying:
“I appreciate that the Donald wants to spend his resources on something that so interests him and so many Americans, you know more power to him.”

John Legend not a fan of Donald Trump.
It’s not The Donald’s reality show or supposed ambitions to run for president in 2012 that have the Grammy-winning pianist pissed, either, but Trump’s recent comments in which he persistently questioned President Obama’s nationality.
“He needs to stop saying that racist bulls**t birther s**t,” Legend told N.Y. Magazine. “Quote me please. He should be ashamed of himself. It’s awful, really.”

[HMG Celebrity News] – Since first sharing his rather singular view of the world on CNN in 2006, Glenn Beck has become one of the most polarizing figures on television. He switched to Fox News in 2008, but his future is now at a crossroads.
In September 2009, 47-year old Beck’s nightly sermons of forthcoming doom drew the highest ratings of any Fox pundit – beating his rivals on CNN, MSNBC and CNN-HLN combined. But those days are over. His audience is now thinning – rapidly – and reports say Glenn will quit Fox in December when his contract runs out.
But what then?
