Joanna Garcia and Nick Swisher, who got married in December, have finalized plans for their honeymoon… in Afghanistan. Explained the Yankees outfielder to The New York Post:
“Three military officers came to the locker room and asked if any of us would like to visit the troops. My hand went straight up, I said, ‘I’m in.’ I knew Joanna would want to go. It will be our first trip since we got married.”

Chely Wright Marries Lauren Blitzer

Chely Wright and Lauren Blitzer are officially wife and wife. The couple got married yesterday at Blitzer’s aunt’s home in Connecticut.
It May 2010, Wright came out as gay, an admission that resulted in death threats and thoughts of suicide. Just two weeks later, though, the country singer met Blitzer, a GLBT Civil Rights activist, and eventually fell in love.
Both brides wore a white gown for the wedding because, as Wright joked to People, “we like our hair too much!” We wish this pair a long, happy marriage.

Graphic Photos Found in Robyn Gardner Case

Graphic photos found on the camera of a man Robyn Gardner was with have deepened the mystery surrounding the Maryland woman’s disappearance.
Robyn was supposed to be in Orlando with her parents – or so she told her boyfriend, Richard Forester. In reality, she went on a vacation to Aruba.
Now the 35-year-old is missing and presumed dead. Gary Giordano, a 50-year-old Maryland businessman with a disturbing past, remains in custody.
The mystery has only deepened as authorities in Aruba begin releasing details from the investigation, such as images that are “beyond pornographic.”

Two and a Half Men Update: Ashton on Set, Charlie in the Ground

Never before have so many people been so curious about the season premiere of an unoriginal, unfunny comedy.
But Two and a Half Men returns to CBS on September 19 and here is what we know about the first, Charlie Sheen-less episode it airs:
- Sheen’s Harper will be killed off.
- The cause of death? Viewers will learn he married, and then cheated on, Rose. At the character’s funeral, she’ll pretty much admit to pushing him off a train platform.

It’s also the son of God who many believe will one day return to earth, as well as the basis for this singer’s new tattoo.
In May, Justin and his father both got inked with the Hebrew word for “Jesus” along their upper bodies. Based on the following photos, it looks like a painful experience, but also one that brought the pair closer together. We wonder what Selena Gomez thinks of the tattoo…

Lindsay Lohan CAN’T AFFORD Counseling?

Here’s a new, unexpected entry in the Lindsay Lohan book of excuses.
The alleged actress, who was reamed out by a judge yesterday for not taking the terms of her probation seriously enough, offered this explanation for why she has yet to participate in court-ordered psychological treatment:
She can’t afford it!
The actress’ attorney, Shawn Chapman Holley, said Lohan hasn’t been able to maintain her psychological treatment because of “financial issues.”
The judge was unmoved.
“If she doesn’t have the means [to pay for it], she’s got to find someone to help her out,” Judge Stephanie Sautner

Her character, Pam Beesly, is married to Jim Halpert (played by John Krasinski) and already has one baby on the long-running NBC comedy.

The path of Gabrielle Giffords has taken her from Congresswoman… to inspiring gun shot victim… to author.
The politician, who was released from the hospital last week, will team with husband Mark Kelly to pen a memoir that chronicles their lives since Giffords was shot in the head by a mad men in January.

The actress, best known for portraying Kate on Lost, will portray a woodland elf named Tauriel. She’s a new character to the series, as teased by Peter Jackson on his Facebook page:
