It’s been known for awhile, but now it’s confirmed: Jill Zarin will not appear again on The Real Housewives of New York City.
Zarin herself commented on her exit last September, while rumors then surfaced that Ramona Singer was responsible for the ousting. But Bravo has finally released a statement of its own on the matter, stating for the record:
“We wish Jill the best, but there is no consideration of her returning to the series.
The network, of course, overhauled this franchise’s cast with Heather Thomson, Carole Radziwill and Aviva Drescher heading into its fifth season.

Alex Trebek Expected to Recover from Heart Attack

Alex Trebek suffered a heart attack yesterday and was taken to Cedars-Sinai hospital in Los Angeles, but the Jeopardy! is expected back on his feet soon.

“Trebek is in good spirits and is undergoing further testing,” Sony Pictures TV said in a statement today. “He is expected to fully recover and be back on Jeopardy! when production begins taping in July for the new season, the show’s 29th.”
The popular trivia series just won a Daytime Emmy for Best Game/Audience Participation Show last night. It’s the program’s 14th overall.

It’s looking more and more likely as if Ann Curry is on her way out of Today.
According to The New York Times, the co-host – who took over for Meredith Viera about a year ago – would essentially be the scapegoat for the long-running NBC program, which was topped in the ratings by ABC’s Good Morning America for the first time in years this spring.

He may have spent months on the American Idol stage, earning millions of votes in order to be crowned the 11th champion in series history, but Phillip Phillips is not anxious for a break.
Speaking to reporters for the first time since undergoing kidney surgery, the singer said he’s sick of recovery and excited to perform in front of fans this summer on tour.
“I’ve kind of been going crazy just looking at the four walls surrounding me,” Phillips said, adding that he loves to sleep, but he’s ready to be active once again.

The actress (Think Like a Man, Californication) married preacher and Columbia Pictures VP DeVon Franklin Saturday evening at Triunfo Creek Winery in Malibu, CA, as first reported by People.
“DeVon makes me better, makes my life fuller and completes my quality of life,” Good told the publication. “He’s truly on my team and I am truly on his. God revealed my heart to him like nobody else.”

Very good news for American Idol fans across the country: Phillip Phillips WILL be coming to a venue near you.
The Season 11 champion has been battling kidney problems for months and was scheduled to undergo surgery late last month that may have caused him to miss the opening couple dates on the show’s upcoming summer tour.
But sources now tell E! News that Phillips is “doing well” and responding to an alternative treatment. He currently has no plans to follow through with any kind of procedure.

We’re sorry to say it, ladies, but: Phillip Phillips has a girlfriend. And he’s head over heels for the unnamed brunette.
“She is so excited for me,” the 21-year old told reporters in a conference call yesterday. “She supported me throughout all of this, and I love her to death.”
Phillip added that his gal pal has helped him immensely through his kidney ailment – it came out this week that Phillips underwent EIGHT surgeries during season 11 and is due for one in the near future – and if female voters out there have a problem with his heart being taken, well…

Might the success of Phillip Phillips on American Idol be jeopardizing his health? Without a doubt, YES, according to the singer’s doctors.
TMZ reports that the finalist’s physicians are adamant: Phillips needs surgery to repair a kidney issue as soon as possible. His family doctor even spent the entire day last Saturday – during Phillip’s Idol-sponsored trip home to Georgia – by the contestant’s side.

Fresh off another very strong performance, the future of one of our favorite American Idol contestants is in doubt.
TMZ confirms that Phillip Phillips – who covered Stevie Wonder’s “Superstition” to close out last night’s performance show – was rushed to the hospital this morning with abdominal pain.
Details remain scarce, but sources close to the singer say the condition may be gallstones and that Phillips suffered through a similar condition in January and also sought medical attention for it at that time.
