Peggy Tanous, who has been open about her battle with postpartum depression and thoughts of suicide, is no longer a Real Housewife of Orange County.
In a Facebook posting today, the reality star resigned from the Bravo franchise.
“After months of negotiation and soul searching, I have declined their offer to return to the show,” Peggy writes. “I just felt in my heart that being around the negative energy of certain cast members, being forced to have ‘dramatic’ confrontations and the time it would take me away from my family was just not a healthy path for me.”

The Real Housewives of Orange County took a break from drama-filled, scripted catfights last night and focused on an important issue: postpartum depression.
New cast member Peggy Tanous revealed that she battled the disease for three years, going into more detail with E! News about just how serious things turned.

Soon after the season six premiere of The Real Housewives of Orange County on Sunday night, cast member Tamra Barney made a startling announcement to Andy Cohen on Watch What Happens Live!.
Referring to the date rape drug Rohypnol, Barney said: “I got roofied.”

Peggy Tanous describes herself as the “life of the party,” but it hasn’t always been that way.
The new Real Housewives of Orange County cast member says she was partly inspired to join the show because she saw it as an opportunity to recover from postpartum depression, something she battled after the birth of daughters London, 3, and Capri, 1 1/2.

The facelifted reality star confirmed this news herself on Facebook today, writing:
“Rumor has it that I will not be returning for ‘season 6.’ That rumor is true!

Welcome to the world of reality television, Peggy Tanous.
The rich blonde has joined the cast of The Real Housewives Of Orange County, as producers confirm she and Internet entrepreneur husband Micah will come aboard for season six of the nauseating program.
Not much is known about Peggy, but she’s a close friend of current cast member Alexis Bellino. Sources have told Radar Online that Tanous is “truthful and blunt.”
