Michel Morganella has become the second Olympic athlete sent home from the Summer Olympics due to an offense message on Twitter.
Two days before the Games even started, Voula Papachristou of Greece was given the boot after disrespecting African-Americans in a joke about West Nile mosquitoes.

Lauryn Hill Pleads Guilty, Faces Years in Prison For Failure to Pay Taxes

Singer Lauryn Hill just pleaded guilty to a federal crime, admitting she did not file several years’ worth of tax returns in the past decade, and failed to do so on purpose no less.
The 37-year-old faces up to three years in prison as a result. Hill failed to pay up in 2005, 2006, and 2007, when she earned more than $1.8 million.
When the judge asked if Hill “intentionally and willingly” failed to file the returns, she said simply, “Yes.” The Fugees frontwoman was released on $150,000 bail.

Already squaring off against ex-wife Tameka Foster in court, Usher appears to be facing a new problem with a new woman.
The artist has obtained a temporary restraining order against Darshelle Jones-Rakestraw, claiming she’s living in a dream world where Usher is her husband.

Santa Cruz County Deputy Sheriff April Skalland said yesterday that “no charges have been filed” and Sandovol “was not arrested,” but he and his attorney did meet with authorities following an incident late Friday night regarding the ball player and a woman.

Richard Dawson, the legendary host of Family Feud and a veteran film and TV actor, has died from complications due to esophageal cancer, according to his son.
He was 79. Gary Dawson wrote on Facebook late Saturday:
“It is with a very heavy heart that I inform you that my father passed away this evening from complications due to esophageal cancer.”
“He was surrounded by his family. He was an amazing talent, a loving husband, a great dad, and a doting grandfather. He will be missed but always remembered.”

Ashley Biden, the daughter of U.S. Vice President Joe Biden, got married on Saturday to Philadelphia surgeon Howard Krein before more than 200 friends and family.
The couple wed at the steepled St. Joseph on the Brandywine Roman Catholic Church, in Greenville, Delaware. It’s the same church where she was baptized.
The ceremony combined the bride’s Catholic traditions and the groom’s Jewish ones.
Afterward, the reception took place at the Biden family’s lakeside home in Wilmington, Del., for a reception and dinner served family-style in the backyard.

Matthew Fox Takes Plea Deal, Avoids Jail in DUI Case

On balance, it was a pretty decent week for Matthew Fox.
The former Lost star’s crotch-punching accuser dropped her (yes, her) case against him yesterday, and today, he struck a deal to avoid jail for DUI.
On the downside? His Lost co-star Dominic Monaghan said Fox beats women. Often. And stood by the comment. Not good PR there. Hey, 2-for-3.
Fox was pulled over in Bend, Oregon, on May 4. Police observed the actor swerving out of his lane, decided Fox was intoxicated and arrested him.
