“It’s better to burn out than to fade away.”
These words were penned by Neil Young in his famous song, “Hey Hey, My My,” but took on new meaning when Kurt Cobain quoted them in his suicide note.
Grunge rocker. Music pioneer. Rock God. Troubled individual. Kurt Cobain was all of those things and more, and his legend has only grown since his death.
Cobain died from a gunshot wound inflicted in what police ruled a suicide. He was not found dead on April 8, but died April 5, 1994 – 17 years ago today.

Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl does not want his music featured on Glee, nor does he appreciate bands being made to feel bad about this choice.
In a recent interview, Grohl dropped f-bombs on the Fox hit and its creator, Ryan Murphy, leaving absolutely no doubt about his feelings on either.
It’s unclear what prompted his rant, but Grohl was likely inspired by Kings of Leon and Slash and their un-Glee-ful decisions to turn down the show.
“It’s every band’s right, you shouldn’t have to do f–king Glee,” he said. “Then the guy who created Glee is offended that we’re not, like, begging to beMore >
[HMG Celebrity News] – When Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain died prematurely in April of 1994 the world lost a singular talent. But recent reports suggest the loss to the cartoon world was equally great.

“One day this scraggly kid came into the offices where the series was made and said he wanted to write a song for Ren & Stimpy,” Billy West, who provides Stimpy’s voice tells the Sun. “TheyMore >
Kanye West posted a controversial cover for his new album, My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, this weekend, while declaring “Banned in the USA!!!”
The image features a painting of Kanye “chilling on the couch with my phoenix!” It was not chosen for the actual release, which disappoints West.
His Tweeting continued: “In the 70s album covers had actual nudity… It’s so funny people forget that… Everything has been so commercialized now.”
“So Nirvana can have a naked human being on they cover but I can’t have a PAINTING of a monster with no arms and a polka dot tail and wings.”
