New York is the city that never sleeps, and Upper West Side native Lady Gaga will release an ode to NYC, “Marry the Night,” as her newest single very shortly.
The fifth single from Born This Way, the synth-heavy track is dance friendly (far more than “Edge of Glory” or “You and I,” conjuring up memories of The Fame.
Take a listen to “Marry the Night” here if you haven’t heard it.
“I wrote so many songs on this album about New York, but one in particular ‘Marry the Night,’ that record is about my husband, New York,” Gaga told MTV.

The Real Housewives of New York City were back again last night with speed dating, runway walks, and hair removal, and the results are simply ridiculous.
Ramona is asked to take another run at the catwalk. Given the fiasco her walk created last year I can only imagine that she’s invited back as a publicity stunt.
It’s hard to say which is funnier, Ramona’s zombie eyed expression or the height difference between her and all of the other models.

Just 12 days to go.
Set to marry Prince William in front of pretty much the whole world on April 29, Kate Middleton took part in her first rehearsal at London’s Westminster Abbey.
A Clarence House spokesman confirms that a royal wedding rehearsal took place at the famed cathedral on Friday, with the lovely bride-to-be on hand.
Prince Harry, Kate’s sister (and maid of honor) Pippa Middleton and her bridesmaids were there. William was tending to his Royal Air Force duties.
“We can confirm that Catherine Middleton and Prince Harry took part in a rehearsal at Westminster Abbey this morning,”

For a country singer to use George Strait, well, they’re gonna have to be good, ’cause they’re gonna be compared to George Strait. Did Scotty pull it off?
It seemed to us that he had trouble with his pitch sometimes, struggled with some notes and didn’t exactly get a lot of favors from the American Idol band.

These American Idol kids are getting frisky. Like James Durbin, Casey butted heads a bit with producer Jimmy Iovine regarding his selection Wednesday.
Jimmy nearly talked Abrams into doing Phil Collins’ “In the Air Tonight,” but he went with his gut and that meant channeling a little Nat King Cole.
Iovine wasn’t pleased, but the judges give a standing ovation after a intimate, stripped down performance that Casey really put his heart and soul into.
Whether “Nature Boy” defines him as an artist remains to be seen. But

Forget Carmelo Anthony. It turns out Charlie Sheen is the best rebounder in New York.
Following a disastrous performance at Radio City Music Hall Friday evening, the actor returned to the same venue on Saturday and told an enthusiastic crowd: “Friday night got a little f*cking hijacked because I let people get into my magic f**king brain.”
Well, sure. That happens to all of us.

Monday’s Dancing With the Stars brought emotional routines and notable moments, such as Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Kirstie Alley taking a spill, but rising again.
As far as scoring was concerned, talk show host Wendy Williams earned the night’s lowest scores – just 15 points out of 30 – for a stiff fox trot with Tony Dovolani.
She was well back of the field, but was there a chance voters could propel her past another low flier, like Chris Jericho, to survive another week on DWTS?

Hines Ward and Petra Nemcova led the way last night on Dancing With the Stars with scores of 25 apiece, but Kirstie Alley’s routine got the most buzz.
Maksim Chmerkovskiy’s fall to start his rumba with Kirstie was the defining moment of week three, but the way they recovered was the bigger story.
It appeared that Maks’ leg just gave out and he tumbled while holding Alley, who also went down hard. But they rallied for a respectable 21. Watch:
