This life is not an easy one. I’ve made powerful enemies. Put those I love in danger, but the one thing that has haunted me my entire life has been finding the truth about my feelings.

Whitney Houston passed away in February, but fans will still get a chance to watch her on the big screen in August.

That’s because the singer had just finished filming Sparkle when she died, a remake of a 1976 movie in which she plays the matriarch of a musical family.

In various interviews since Houston left us, Jordin Sparks – who makes her Hollywood debut as Houston’s daughter – said “it was amazing to walk into work and then Whitney is sitting in her chair blasting gospel music and singing,” while producer Howard Rosenman added that the legend “is unbelievably brilliant in [the More >

Take cover, Ryan Seacrest. The Dictator is on his way to America.

Beyond the ridiculous costume and sight gags, the latest, full-length trailer for the Sacha Baron Cohen film gives us our first real insight as to what the plot actually is.

Cohen plays a ruthless, fictitious dictator who arrives in N.Y.C. to address the U.N., only to be abducted, shaved (!) and released into the general public, with no one aware of or believing he is one of the world’s last remaining tyrants:

Abraham Lincoln, Vampire Hunter: New Trailer, Same Absurdity

Few movie titles are as self-explanatory as Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter.

Or absurd, for that matter. But that doesn’t mean it won’t find an audience!

A mash-up of historical drama and horror, it features a faux Lincoln, haunted by the death of his mother at a young age at the hands of the blood suckers.

He devotes his life, and gains the presidency, as part of his quest to rid the world of the scourge of vampires. Really, what other issue matters more to voters?

The film arrives June 22 and features Benjamin Walker as the U.S. President who not only saved the Union, but apparently was

21 Jump Street Trailer: Jonah Hill & Channing Tatum Go Undercover!

21 Jump Street looks like a surefire hit.

The film, based on the 1980s TV series that launched Johnny Depp’s career, stars and is produced by Jonah Hill, alongside witting accomplice Channing Tatum.

As a couple of new police academy graduates sent into a high school undercover to bring down a drug ring, the two leads are both hilarious in this NSFW trailer.

The TV series may not have been a comedy of this nature, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing. The film hits theaters March 16. Here’s a long sneak preview:

Piranha 3DD Trailer: Wet, Wild, Absurd

The first trailer for Piranha 3DD has been released and boy, it lives up to expectations. Which were extremely low, but still! Remember what we’re talking about.

When you name a film Piranha 3DD, you are talking about 3-D boobs. In the title. And that means, well, you’re going for the lowest common denominator.

The Piranha sequel stars Danielle Panabaker, Matt Bush, Ving Rhames, Christopher Lloyd, David Hasselhoff (sporting a familiar red outfit) and John Gulager.

This time, the action moves from the sea to a water park as the sharp-toothed fish just go to down on unsuspecting civilians.

Bully Trailer: Documentary Loses Appeal of ‘R’ Rating

The trailer for Bully has been released, and the company that produced the film has lost its appeal of the R rating it believes will limit the documentary’s appeal.

The film, about the epidemic of adolescent bullying in America, was rated R for “some language,” and The Weinstein Company hoped for a PG-13 rating.

It was not to be. Check out the two-minute preview below:

TWC co-chairman Harvey Weinstein and one of the bullied children in the film, Alex Libby, argued that an R rating would be counterproductive in that it would prevent Bully from reaching the adolescent

Brave Movie Trailer: Pixar Goes to Scotland

Brave, the newest film from Pixar, follows a Scottish princess Merida (Kelly MacDonald) who is more interested in honing her bow and arrow skills than romance.

Not only that, she can ride a horse like a champion and can easily survive alone in the mysterious forest that surrounds her home in the highlands of Scotland.

Pixar’s first female-led picture doesn’t feature a generic princess, that’s for sure.

Brave arrives June 22 and also stars Emma Thompson, Billy Connolly, Kevin McKidd (Grey’s Anatomy), Craig Furgeson and Robbie Coltrane. Here’s the trailer:

Dark Tide Movie Trailer: Just Released!

Over the last few weeks, Halle Berry’s personal life has dominated any news about this actress, as she battles for full custody of her daughter with ex-boyfriend Gabriel Aubry.

But the gorgeous star actually has a new movie coming out later this year. It’s titled Dark Tides and it co-stars her fiance, Olivier Martinez.

Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter Trailer Released

Brace yourselves: The trailer for Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter has arrived!

Yes, this is a real movie. The subject matter of which is explained by the title.

The absurd movie mash-up of historical drama and vampire horror stars Benjamin Walker as our nation’s greatest president, haunted by the death of his mother at a young age, a horrific tragedy blamed on the blood suckers … fictionally of course. We think.

He devotes his life, and ends up President of the United States, as part of an all-out quest to eradicate vampires from the world. The Vampire Diaries should really consider an Abe
