Not only did we get the awesome first trailer for Anchorman 2 this morning, but now we have confirmation that another long-awaited comedy sequel is finally moving forward!

After over a year of will-they-won’t-they style wavering, Dumb and Dumber To is a go!

The Farrelly Brothers announced that Universal will produce and provide the funding for the film, which may start shooting as early as this fall.

The best news? Jim Carrey, who previously dropped out of the project, is definitely back in! For now, at

Fifty Shades of Grey Director: Sam Taylor-Johnson Wins the Job!

It’s official: Sam Taylor-Johnson has been hired to direct Fifty Shades of Grey!

For those who don’t know, Sam, the 46-year-old director of Nowhere Boy, ended up marrying the star of that film, Aaron Johnson, who is half her age at 23.

Which kind of makes this choice perfect, given the theme of the novel (I really shouldn’t call it a novel).

Aaron Johnson, in fact, has been talked about in the past to star as Christian Grey in the film. Whether that just got more or less likely now that his wife is directing remains to be seen.

So who will play Christian and who will play

Arnold Schwarzenegger to Return as The Terminator in T5

If you were building humanoid robot assassins, would you make them look young and virile, or old and flabby like a deflated basketball, and in the postscript of a political career and highly-publicized divorce scandal?

The latter, right?

Right. That’s what I thought.

As such, Arnold Schwarzenegger will be returning to play The Terminator in Terminator 5.

The script is being prepared by Laeta Kalogridis and Patrick Lussier, and a director is still not attached.

Fast and Furious 6 director Justin Lin had previously been in talks to direct, but ultimately chose that project over

Veronica Mars Movie: Who’s Coming Back?

We already know the Veronica Mars movie is happening (EEK!!!).

But creator Rob Thomas wrote an email yesterday to the Kickstarter backers who helped bring this upcomng film to life and broke the exciting news of others who will be joining Kristen Bell on the big screen.

Led by Tina Majorino as Mac.

“I really wanted Tina in Veronica Mars,” Thomas said. “To say I wrote Mac with Tina in mind would be an understatement. I wrote Mac for Tina, and Tina only. Veronica needed a female friend, and a Q to her Bond.

“Tina felt like just the sort of girl that Veronica would like and

Ghost Recon Movie: Michael Bay to Direct?

Fun fact: Michael Bay has only had two films reach above a 50% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

But when it comes to giant action flicks, there’s nobody….not better…what’s the word I’m looking for?

Let’s go with “Explodier.”

That’s why Bay is working with Ubisoft and Warner Bros. to develop a movie adaptation of the Ghost Recon video game.

The director, who is currently working on Transformers 4, may or may not direct the film. That all depends on what direction the screenwriter–yet to be found–decides to go with the project.

Peter Mayhew, Chewbacca Actor, Stopped by TSA for Lightsaber Cane

Note to all air travelers: lightsabers are apparently a no-no.

Even if those lightsabers aren’t real (I mean, there’s no such thing as a real light saber ………. or is there?? There’s not.).

Last week, Peter Mayhew, the actor who donned the Chewbacca suit in the Star Wars movies, was stopped by TSA at the Denver airport, and had his cane – which is shaped like a lightsaber – confiscated.

As most celebrities are wont to do these days, Mayhew took to Twitter, saying “@AmericanAir won’t lalow [sic] me through the airport with me cane! Can I get a retweet?”

He later corrected that it

Their Wedding Crashers quotes continue to make us cry with laughter… but should we line up to go see Owen Wilson and Vince Vaughn today in The Internship?

Everything about it feels stale: the actors, the story, the comedy, everything. And, to make matters worse, that everything goes on for an interminable two hours.  – ReelViews

Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch to Appear in The Avengers 2

The Marvel cinematic universe is expanding. Just like the real universe!

Which means that at some point the Marvel Universe will contract, which also means that we will eventually return to the Big Marvel Bang and that “Marvel time” is a meaningless construct.

But I’m getting ahead of myself. Mainly, Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch will be joining The Avengers 2!

Director Joss Whedon said earlier this year that a brother-and-sister team will be joining the superhero sequel, but today he confirmed that the characters are in fact supertwins Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch.
