Country stars Lady Antebellum represented at Sunday’s Grammy Awards.
The six-time nominees collected five awards, including record of the year and song of the year, for their megahit “Need You Now.” That would prove hard to top.
Meanwhile, Arcade Fire bested Lady Gaga, Lady Antebellum (pictured), Katy Perry and Eminem, winning the biggest honor, album of the year, for The Suburbs.
Ten-time nominee Eminem picked up best rap album for Recovery last night. “Okay, this is crazy,” he said as he received an ovation. “Thank you to the fans.”

Jared Lee Loughner Arrest Records, Bullying History: Revealed

On the day Barack Obama delivered a moving address at the Arizona memorial service for the victims of last week’s tragic shooting in Tuscon, new information about Jared Lee Loughner was revealed.
According to police records, the 22-year old accused of killing six people and seriously wounding Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords was arrested twice as a juvenile, once for marijuana possession and once for possession of alcohol.
The first incident occurred in May 2006, when Loughner was admitted to the emergency room after consuming a bottle of vodka he later said he stole from his parents

Sam Jones III Pleads Guilty to Drug Charges, May Face 20 Years in Jail

Sam Jones III, who played Clark Kent’s pal Pete Ross on Smallville from 2001-2008, pleaded guilty to conspiring to sell the painkiller oxycodone yesterday.
The “hillbilly heroin” dealer now faces up to 20 years in jail.
Jones was arrested at his Canoga Park, Calif., home in 2009 by the DEA.
According to the U.S. Attorneys Office, he pleaded guilty to serving as the “Hollywood connection” in a conspiracy to sell more than 10,000 pills.
Most recently, Jones had a regular role as Craig Shilo in the series Blue Mountain State.

Page Kennedy, Blue Mountain State QB, Hit With Restraining Order After Calling Sexual Audible

Page Kennedy, who stars on Spike TV’s Blue Mountain State, is accused of harassing a woman via text message after she shot down his advances.
Tiffany Muller was granted a temporary restraining order against Kennedy, who she says was a friend who wanted more, but “it didn’t go there.”
Muller claims Kennedy, who she met in May, “tried to touch me and take my pants off and I would push his hands away and tell him to stop.”
Muller fought and screamed until Kennedy “got exhausted and stopped,” according to reports, but his sexting harassment of her continues unabated.

‘Today Show’ film buff, Gene Shalit retires from TV

Born in New York on March 25, 1925 the now 85-year old film buff, who has been part of the cast since 1970 announced his departure with typical brevity;
“It’s enough already!” THR quotes him as saying.
Starting as an occasional guest Gene became a fixture on the show in 1973, and also found time to write for publications like ‘Ladies’ Home Journal,’ ‘Cosmo,’ ‘TV Guide,’ ‘Seventeen’ and The New York Times.

BMX Star TJ Lavin Critically Injured During ‘Dew Tour’ Event

BMX star TJ Lavin, the host of MTV’s The Challenge, was taken to a Las Vegas hospital on Thursday after a botched stunt left the extreme sport star with brain swelling and other extensive injuries.
Lavin crashed his bike when attempting a jump during the Sin City “Dew Tour” event, a tour sponsored by Mountain Dew.
TJ, 33, was rushed to University Medical Center where he was immediately put into a medically induced coma in the hopes of allowing his body to repair itself and to avoid the extreme pain his injuries would have provided him.
