Sacramento Kings to Be Sold, Moved to Seattle

The Sacramento Kings are about to be called for a traveling violation.

Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo Sports has Tweeted confirmation that the Maloof family is on the verge of selling the team to a Seattle-based group of investors for $500 million.

That contingent – led by Valiant Capital’s Chris Hansen and Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer – will then move the Kings to Seattle, hopefully in time for the 2013-2014 season.

Seattle was home to the SuperSonics for 40 years until that team left for Oklahoma City in 2008.

Microsoft Unveils Surface Tablet, Competition for iPad

Simply put, it is on between Microsoft and Apple.

The computer giant announced direct competition for the iPad yesterday at a press event in Los Angeles, unveiling the Surface tablet, a device outlined by Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer as a “companion hardware innovation” for Windows 8.

What will user experience be like on the Surface?

The technology will come equipped with a 10.6-inch rectangle display; a built-in kickstand; and a 3mm thick cover that also acts as a multi-touch keyboard.

American Idol Final Four Take the Stage in Atlanta

There’s no rest for the talented.

Just days after they all performed on the season 10 finale of American Idol, champion Scotty McCreery and the rest of the final four took to the stage again in Atlanta. They were on hand to help open a new Microsoft store in the city.

On a hot afternoon, Scotty performed “I Love You This Big,” “Gone” and “Are You Gonna Kiss Me Or Not,” while Lauren went with “Flat on the Floor” and “Like My Mother Does.” Haley Reinhart and James Durbin also belted out a few singles, all of which are posted below. Watch and enjoy!

The Birthday Parties Continue for Tony Parker, Eva Longoria

For the third time in two weeks, wife Eva Longoria threw her man a party in honor of the Spurs guard turning 28 on May 17. Following bashes in Miami and Los Angeles, the couple graced the red carpet of Eve nightclub in Las Vegas Saturday night.

“I got him a lot of things,” the Desperate Housewives star said. “I got him four-wheelers because he wanted a new four-wheeler, and I got him a Microsoft surface computer that he can touch and play with.”
