Christina Aguilera has just been named a judge on The Voice, NBC’s upcoming answer to American Idol. This should be a high time in the singer’s career, right?
Wrong. As has been well-documented – from a lyric flub on the world’s biggest stage to a recent arrest for public intoxication – Aguilera is suffering a Britney-like meltdown in front of our eyes.
In the latest issue of Star, a friend says Christina has “lost her confidence” since splitting from husband Jordan Bratman.

(HMG Celebrity News) - Finally some good publicity for Christina Aguilera, who has had a rough time of late, culminating, in her arrest for public intoxication on Tuesday, while her boyfriend, Matthew Rutler, got a DUI.
But yesterday, Aguilera was officially announced as the third judge, joining Cee Lo Green and Adam Levine of Maroon 5, on NBC’s “The Voice,” their new singing competition reality show meant to rival Fox’s “American Idol”. The hip judging panel will not only judge, but they’ll coach the contestants, too.

New details have emerged on Christina Aguilera’s recent arrest, and they don’t make the singer or boyfriend Matthew Rutler look very good.
Sources tell TMZ that Christina and her man dined in a private room at posh Los Angeles restaurant Osteria Mozza until well past midnight. Deep into a couple bottles of wine, a fellow patron reportedly recognized Aguilera, asked the waiter to send her a drink and was told: “She’s already drinking a bottle of wine… or two.”
Hilarious.
Meanwhile, both Rutler and Aguilera have been released from jail. They are allegedly holing up in her Beverly Hills

It was just the latest example of a human being in desperate need of help.
Aguilera has had a rough yer. Her latest studio album tanked; reviews for Burlesque were less than kind; she divorced Jordan Bratman in the fall of 2010 and quickly started up with Matthew Rutler, someone her associates believe is a shady rebound.

A new report in Us Weekly states that Christina didn’t merely crash this Oscar nominee’s 40th birthday bash – she went all Snooki at the event, got “wasted” and passed out in the actor’s bedroom!
Hold on tightly, Matt Rutler. You don’t want Christina to pass out on the sidewalk.
“Christina was a mess at that party,” an insider says. “She acted like a fool. Her boyfriend was shushing her and telling her to go to sleep.”
