McDonald’s and one of its franchisees agreed to pay $700,000 after being sued for falsely advertising food as being prepared according to Islamic dietary law.
McDonald’s and Finley’s Management Co. settled with Dearborn Heights, Mich., resident Ahmed Ahmed, a Detroit health clinic, and the Arab American National Museum.
Ahmed’s attorney, Kassem Dakhlallah, sayd he’s “thrilled” with the deal; McDonald’s and Finley’s deny any liability but say the settlement is in their best interests.

The actor announced today that he will donate 1% of his profits from Anger Management – which is off to a solid start on FX – to the USO, guaranteeing that military organization at least $1 million and leaving the final donation figure uncapped.

Making good on a promise he made not even 48 hours ago, Charlie Sheen has officially quit Twitter, leaving his 7.7 million followers emotionally reeling.
Fortunately, he departed with one final, inspiring Tweet:

Sheen signed onto Twitter fairly recently in March 2011, after he was fired from Two and a Half Men and began lambasting his former bosses online.

His anger not managed over a story this week that claimed he trashed a NYC hotel room, Charlie Sheen is considering legal action against those who reported the story.
