Demi Lovato to Leave Sonny With a Chance

Demi Lovato is leaving Sonny With a Chance, the show that’s made her a star on the Disney Channel. She’ll instead focus on her pop career – and recovery.

Given the actress sought treatment recently for “physical and emotional issues,” and confessed to cutting herself since age 11, a change might do her good.

“It made sense for me to go ahead and leave the show to focus on my music,” Lovato tells People. “It’s sad for me that a chapter of my life has ended.”

Clean Sweep? Matt Lauer perhaps following Meredith Vieira out “Today” show door

(HMG Celebrity News) – The Today Show appears to be heading for a complete overhaul. With reports that Meredith Vieira will soon leave the show, ET says that Matt Lauer will also be leaving. According to their source, Lauer has already notified his bosses that he will move on when his contract expires December 31, 2012. Did Will Ferrell say that ‘Office’ Job will be permanent?

(HMG Celebrity News) – As Steve Carell’s Michael Scott prepares to leave the show, as head of Scranton’s workplace on ‘The Office,’ it looks likes Will Ferrell may step in to take over — permanently? The funnyman is definitely scheduled for a four-episode arc, which begins with the April 14 episode. But he told UsMagazine.com at Saturday’s Comedy Central Awards it’s “looking good” for him to join the series after Carell’s exit.

Ferrell added that his role on The Office will amount to a “regular, full-time gig.”

Randy Jackson Was Spared To Keep Original “Connection” To American Idol

TMZ.com is reporting that Randy Jackson was kept on the hit reality TV show American Idol so viewers would still have an “original connection” to the show, apparently Ryan Seacrest doesn’t count!
