We still love you, Scotty McCreery and Lauren Alaina.
Neither of these former American Idol finalists enjoyed a great Thanksgiving yesterday, as each was given a prime spot to perform – and each suffered through an embarrassing mishap.
FIRST, McCreery stood atop a float during the Macy’s parade and prepared to sing a version of “The Trouble with Girls.” But a recording of the track started a few seconds before the young crooner started to lip synch, resulting in the following awkward start to the performance:

Jake Busey to Check Into Rehab

Jake Busey plans to check himself in to a rehab facility for substance abuse issues next week after being hospitalized for alcohol poisoning.
The actor explained how he woke up in an L.A. hospital this week after having “a little too much fun” with booze. He’s very candid about it.
Jake insists he’s determined to get himself on a “straight path to clean living” and will take rehab seriously. Here’s hoping that he does.
Jake, 39, is the son of Gary Busey.

American Idol Crowns Season 10 Champion

A record 122 million votes were cast this week on American Idol. And, after all were tallied, who did viewers crown the champion?
Following an evening that included special performances by Jennifer Lopez, Marc Anthony, Bono, The Edge, Gladys Knight, Tony Bennett, Steven Tyler and more, Ryan Seacrest made the announcement that led to screams and cheers from the crowd.
“Never in my wildest dreams,” Scotty said upon being crowned victor. “I gotta thank the Lord. He got me here.”

Jared Lee Loughner Deemed Incompetent to Stand Trial, Restrained After Courtroom Outburst

The man accused of six murders and nearly killing U.S. Rep. Gabrielle Giffords in Arizona is not mentally fit to stand trial, a judge ruled Wednesday.
U.S. Marshals dragged Jared Lee Loughner out of the courtroom because of an angry outburst as family members of the victims looked on in court.
The clearly disturbed Loughner lowered his head, raised it and said what sounded like “Thank you for the freak show. She died in front of me.”
His words were loud but mumbled, and it wasn’t clear who he was talking about. He wore a khaki prison suit and sported bushy, red sideburns.

Lauren Alaina was scarily close to missing out on her dream tonight.
The American Idol finalist suffered through a vocal chord sprain – akin to a sprained ankle, according to a physician – during rehearsals this afternoon. It was so bad that Haley Reinhart was nearly called in to replace Lauren on the finale.
But a doctor appeared on stage at the outset of the program and told viewers he gave Alaina some medicine because she “blew out” her voice and he thinks she’ll “do great.”
“I’m here, I’m ready to sing. I’m fine, don’t worry about it,” Lauren said, hoarsely, on stage.

An autopsy was performed on the body of Macho Man Randy Savage over the weekend – following the wrestling legend’s death on Friday – but authorities say toxicology results won’t be available for more than a month.
At the moment, the cause of death (rumored to be a heart attack prior to a car accident) is unknown.
But we can confirm that Savage’s body will be cremated. Moreover, his ashes will be mixed with those of his of long-time dog, Hercules, who is residing for eternity around one of his owner’s favorite trees.

Sara Rue and Kevin Price are married.
The longtime couple tied the knot in a sunset ceremony overlooking the Pacific Ocean at the Bel-Air Bay Club in Pacific Palisades, Calif., on Saturday.
Rue and Price wed under a chuppah in a 20-minute ceremony (including Jewish traditions, but hummingbird-themed) in front of about 100 guests.
The actress, who has lost over 50 lbs. in the past year, said the ceremony that she was looking forward to indulging – a little bit – on the two wedding cakes.

Justin Bieber and Chris Brown aren’t just collaborating on a music video.
According to director Colin Tilley, they are collaborating on a music video that is “gonna be big.” And now we’ve got your first look at it.
The artists have Tweeted two photos of themselves on the set of “Next 2 U,” with Brown writing “Judgement day!! Lol” and Bieber adding: “#Next2You #EPIC.”
These pictures likely won’t land Brown in any trouble, unlike another Twitter-based news item regarding the singer. Turns out, he and Rihanna are following each other on their accounts.
