Brothers Blow Up House Celebrating Lottery Win, Are Not Smart
A pair of brothers in Kansas won $75,000 in the lottery last week and proceeded to celebrate their newfound wealth in the only logical way possible:
By buying weed and meth and accidentally blowing up their home in Wichita.
According to The Wichita Eagle, one of the unnamed siblings went to the kitchen around 7 p.m. Friday to refuel the butane torches with which he planned to light the brothers’ bongs.
But when he emptied these large cans of fluid, butane leaked into the air and “as you might expect,” Sgt. Bruce Watts told the newspaper: “Ka-Boom.”

Homeless Billy Ray Harris recently found a diamond ring in his change cup.
Incredibly, he returned it to the woman who gave it to him by mistake.

Ryan Freel Found Dead; Ex-MLB Star Commits Suicide 36
Former Major League Baseball player Ryan Freel was found dead Saturday at the age of 36. He died of a self-inflicted shotgun blast in his Jacksonville home.
The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office was investigating the death as a suicide.
The scrappy, versatile Freel played eight seasons in the majors from 2001-09 with Toronto, Cincinnati, Baltimore, the Chicago Cubs and Kansas City.
After appearing in nine games with Toronto in 2001, he played for the Reds from 2003-08 before spending 2009 with the Orioles, Cubs and Royals.

Jovan Belcher, Kansas City Chiefs Player, Kills Girlfriend, Then Himself
Jovan Belcher, a linebacker for the Kansas City Chiefs, was at the center of a horrific tragedy this morning.
According to local authorities, Belcher, 25, shot and killed his on-again/off-again girlfriend (Kasandra Perkins, who gave birth to the couple’s first child three months ago) in her home around 8 a.m. and then drove to the Arrowhead Stadium complex where the Chiefs play home games.
In front of team personnel (including GM Scott Piloi and Coach Romeo Crennel) who tried to calm him down in the parking lot, Belcher then shot himself in the head.
