Joe Jonas is really trying to kickstart his solo career. The singer has a new album coming out on October 11 and will soon hit the road on tour.
First, though, he has to clear up a misconception about “Love Slayer,” one of the tracks on his upcoming CD: it’s NOT about ex-girlfriend Taylor Swift, people.
“When I write songs I don’t say who they are about because I don’t want the audience to relate to what was going on with me when I wrote it,” Joe tells UK’s Metro. “You say one thing and it becomes a big rumor.”

Two singing teenage dream heartthrobs for the price of one! Teen pop sensation Joe Jonas and R&B singer Jay Sean both announced their joint Fall 2011 tour dates.
The gig starts in Boston on September 6, 2011 at the House of Blues and ends at the Best Buy Theater in New York City. Two of the dates in California and Arizona will feature only Joe Jonas.
Jonas will use the tour to promote his upcoming solo album “Fastlife.” He’s been on the road supporting Britney Spears Femme Fatale tour. Sean will use the tour to promote his current and next album “Freeze Time.”

Currently on the road with Britney Spears, Joe Jonas will soon headline his own nationwide tour.
The handsome young artist, who turned 22 yesterday and whose solo album comes out on October 11, will kick start a series of concerts in Boston on September 6. He’ll be joined on the road by Jay Sean and hit cities such as Chicago and Los Angeles.
The tour will conclude in New York on October 6…. as Joe will then hop on a plane for Sweden and re-join Britney on the European leg of her Femme Fatale tour on October 16.

Britney Spears’ Femme Fatale tour has been heaped with praise from both critics and fans, but Britney’s tour-mates; Joe Jonas and Nicki Minaj say it’s more work than it looks. Even Lady Gaga is a fan.
“Behind the scenes, there’s a lot of security, lots of salad and cranberries and lots of dancers stretching,” Minaj told reporters on their New Jersey date. “There’s also a lady that gives massages. The middle Jonas brother will tagging along for one night only.

“The idea I had was to use a house as a metaphor of being stuck in my own head because the song is obviously about the end of a relationship,” Joe said about the video’s concept. “I said ‘okay, if you were stuck in your own head, and you see everything that reminds you of this person, you want to get rid of everything [that reminds you of this person].’”

Joe Jonas is not recording music with his brothers these days. (Listen to his first solo track, “See No More,” HERE.)
But he makes one thing clear in the latest issue of Paper Magazine: the singer is still very close with siblings Nick and Kevin.
“My brothers and I, we’re like each other’s best friends,” he says. “And I think it’s that foundation that makes me feel like I can really do this on my own for a second.”
Jonas is also hoping to follow in the crazy talented footsteps of another teen idol who has risen to superstardom outside his original boy group: Justin Timberlake.
