It hasn’t taken Liberty Ross very long to move on.
Just a few weeks after filing for divorce from Rupert Sanders, the model was spotted exiting a New York City hotel this morning alongside music producer Jimmy Iovine.
And we all know what goes on inside hotel rooms, don’t we?!?
Insiders confirm to TMZ that Ross and Iovine has been an item for a couple weeks now.
The latter is an icon in the music industry, having co-founded Interscope Records and worked with everyone from Eminem to Lagy Gaga.
Safe to say both sides are making out well in this case.
Lauren Alaina selected Miley Cyrus’ “The Climb” on American Idol because “it’s about a young girl struggling to reach her dreams.” Will Lauren reach hers?
The inspirational hit song’s top notes are slightly outside the best part of this aspiring singer’s range, but she does a commendable job of it live, overall.
The judges liked it and so, we’re guessing, will voters. In fact, before she even got out there, Jimmy Iovine called her a “much better singer” than Miles.
Do you agree? Compare it with Miley Cyrus‘ version below and vote:More >
“It’s hard to find a song that defines me as an artist.” – Casey Abrams
These American Idol kids are getting frisky. Like James Durbin, Casey butted heads a bit with producer Jimmy Iovine regarding his selection Wednesday.
Jimmy nearly talked Abrams into doing Phil Collins’ “In the Air Tonight,” but he went with his gut and that meant channeling a little Nat King Cole.
Iovine wasn’t pleased, but the judges give a standing ovation after a intimate, stripped down performance that Casey really put his heart and soul into.
Whether “Nature Boy” defines him as an artist remains to be seen. ButMore >
Jacob Lusk has a tendency to be overly dramatic on American Idol. It’s what has made this season 10 finalist a polarizing singer.
It’s also what concerned Jimmy Iovine last night, as the producer was afraid Lusk’s style would negatively affect his cover of “Sorry Seems to Be the Hardest Word” and Jacob might “blow the whole thing.”
J. Lo thought the rendition was “beautiful,” while Steven Tyler said both halves of the song just “blew me away.” Do you agree? Or was there almost too much emotion in this performance? Watch and decide.

American Idol kicked off its 10th season in unusual fashion: it ran down the months-long speculation of who would be named the show’s new judges, only to then plaster the screen with the words:
But it’s not our story. It’s yours!
It then spent a few more minutes telling its own story, hyping Steven Tyler and Jennifer Lopez as industry legends and introducing viewers to Jimmy Iovine, the chairman of Interscope-Geffen-A&M, and new show mentor. After a commercial break, viewers were finally treated to a few auditions.

With American Idol set to return to the air in January, auditions are underway for the next Adam Lambert or Kris Allen.
How are they going so far? Producer Nigel Lythgoe answered that question for People magazine this week, going into detail on a number of topics. To wit:
Who has auditioned so far? “We’re seeing quite a lot of country singers, a lot of young talent because we’ve opened it up to 15-year-olds now.”
How is J-Lo faring as a judge? “Jennifer actually critiques what’s in front of her. She doesn’t just throw out glib remarks. She listens, she weighs it up and then she says howMore >
[HMG Celebrity News] – After what feels like a year of the worst-kept, most hyped secret in the history of television, Fox has finally revealed Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler as American Idol’s new judges.
The scene was set for the big unveiling at Idol’s final auditions, held at Inglewood’s Forum Arena last night. Host, Ryan Seacrest took to the stage and got the show started;
