That American Idol thing worked out pretty well for Jessica Sanchez, huh?
The talented singer got a boyfriend out of it, fellow Season 10 contestant DeAndre Brackensick, and also confirmed a record deal this week, telling the crowd at the iHeartRadio American Idol tour stop in New York City Wednesday night that she is signed to Interscope Records.

It’s only been a week since Jessica Simpson gave birth to her beautiful baby girl, and the star is already thinking about slimming back down.
The mother of Maxi has about three million reasons to, of course.
According to ABC News, the 31-year-old singer signed a $3 million deal with Weight Watchers in which she’ll showcase her fit post-baby body.
Jessica will star in a national campaign for the brand this year.
That’s a lot of money to lose weight … not that she needs it.

Jessica Simpson finally gave birth to her baby girl today.
Maxwell Drew Johnson, weighing 9 lbs., 13 oz. (!) was born this morning in L.A. It’s the first child for the star and her fiance, former NFL player Eric Johnson.
Little Maxwell is named for Eric’s middle name, and will go by Maxi. Her middle name is a tribute to her grandma, Tina Simpson, whose maiden name is Drew.
After six months of dating, Simpson, 31, and Johnson, 32, got engaged in November 2010, then allegedly pushed off their wedding when she got pregnant.

“They tossed around a lot of names, including some wacky ones like Zinfandel, but just couldn’t agree on anything,” a family friend confides.
What did they come up with?
“They’re going to call her Maxwell, Maxi for short,” the friend says. Maxwell is Eric’s middle name, and also his beloved grandma’s maiden name.
