Ryan Murphy has an extra reason to be gleeful this holiday season: he’s a first-time father!
In news broken by E!, the Nip/Tuck, American Horror Story and Glee creator welcomed Logan Phineas Miller Murphy into the world on the morning of December 24. He was born via surrogate.
According to the birth announcement sent out by Murphy and husband David Miller, little Logan weighed in at 6.6 pounds and measured 21 inches in length. Not shabby!

Parents Name Baby Girl Hashtag

As unusual baby names go, this one’s certainly up there.
This past Saturday around 10 p.m., a precious little girl weighing an even eight pounds was given the name Hashtag by her Twitter-loving parents … seriously.
We’re guessing her parents spent much of the previous nine months on their iPhones. Think she’ll be teased a lot on the playground? Or on her friends’ Twitter accounts?
In about 18 years, Hashtag totally needs to date Facebook, the name given to a baby boy in Egypt last winter in honor of the role played by the site in the country’s revolution.

Joe Simpson pleaded no contest in his DUI case and will serve three years of probation, according to reports. He will also attend alcohol education classes.
The embattled father of Ashlee and Jessica Simpson entered the plea to one misdemeanor count via his attorney Tuesday. A second count was dismissed.
The 54-year-old, who has also been in the tabloids lately over his alleged trysts with Bryce Chandler Hill and Joey Anderson, was pulled over in August.
