Even its most loyal devotees will concede this; it’s run out of … something.
Let’s break down the penultimate episode and The Situation’s strip show:
The Situation’s stripper name, Vito Dorado, was pretty much the highlight.
Somehow the others convince Mike to show us his moves, which he used to do for money before he became a reality star … and wow. Just wow. Minus 50.

A Sober "Situation"

Nobody has the recipe or the rules for this game. That’s what Mike Sorrentino, better known as “The Situation,” had to say about his sober return to the Jersey Shore house.
Jersey boys Ronnie, Pauly D, and The Situation all stopped by Ellen for the latest publicity rounds for the last season of their reality show. About 8 months ago, The Situation checked himself into rehab for an addiction to painkillers. He’s been sober and doing very well since.

Snooki Gives Birth to Baby Boy, Apocalypse Nigh!

Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi is officially a mom.
The Jersey Shore star and her fiance, Jionni LaValle, welcomed their baby boy – 6-pound, 5-ounce Lorenzo Dominic LaValle – into the world this morning.
“The world just got another Guido!!!” a Polizzi rep told MTV, which confirmed the baby’s arrival moments ago. “Nicole, Jionni & Enzo are doing great!”
Enzo was born at Saint Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston, N.J. around 3 a.m. Sunday, according to MTV, which congratulated Snooki and Jionni LaValle.

Snooki & JWoww: Banned By Two More New Jersey Towns

Snooki and JWoww will not be welcome in Toms River or Point Pleasant, New Jersey, during the second season of their Jersey Shore spinoff show.
The Point Pleasant Beach Council unanimously voted against a request to tape the Snooki & JWoww there; Toms River negged a similar request.
Guess they gotta need to keep the quota of overly tanned girls with giant fake boobs saying inane things to a minimum … or at least limit the traffic.
Season 1 was filmed in Jersey City, N.J., after Hoboken negged them. Jersey Shore itself is filmed in Seaside Heights, further down the Atlantic coast.

Jersey Shore Season 6 to Premiere October 4

Jersey Shore Season 6 will kick off Thursday, October 4, with a second season of popular spinoff Snooki and JWoww also reportedly picked up by MTV.
It’s hard to believe this will be the sixth season of debauchery from the ensemble that first graced our TV screens in early 2010. Brings a tear to your eye.
So much has changed since the early days, most notably Jionni LaValle getting Snooki pregnant and The Situation getting sober following a trip to rehab.

Jersey Shore’s Deena Nicole Cortese won’t face criminal charges for disorderly conduct following her arrest for acting like a drunk jackass in the middle of the day last month, however the hot mess will be forced to pay a fine.
For failing to use the sidewalk.
Deena was briefly jailed in Seaside Heights, N.J., for dancing in the streets and “slapping cars” … seriously. Her parents sprung her later that day.
A disorderly conduct charge was dropped today in court, but Deena must pay a fine after pleading guilty to what is known as a “Title 39″ instead.

The latest: Ronnie Ortiz-Magro is on the receiving end of a private citizen’s complaint, brought by a man who claims Ron roughed him up in a bar.

Justin Viterito accused the 26-year-old Ortiz-Magro of simple assault that resulted from a brawl at the Seaside nightclub Bamboo Bar on June 9.

The Jersey Shore star, now 6-7 months pregnant, is now riding around Seaside on a motorized scooter … for reasons unknown to humankind.

Is the Jersey Shore cast, which just started filming Season 6, staying off the sauce to stand in solidarity with pregnant Snooki and newly-detoxed Situation?
The gang hit up a bar last night in their first outing of the summer, and while Sitch was there, he reportedly didn’t have anything to drink. Willpower, dog!
The Situation has said he was not in rehab for alcohol, but his trip to Cirque Lodge was indeed for both prescription drugs (which he admits) and alcohol.

The Situation Speaks on Rehab, Recovery

When Jersey Shore returns this summer, it’ll be a very different Situation.
Now on the road to recovery, Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino is opening up for the first time about his stint in rehab earlier this year in an interview.
He comes clean in the sit-down about the root of his problems.
“My addiction was prescription painkillers. At first, I thought it gave me energy, helped me,” he tells MTV. “Being in this business is not easy. I made a mistake by picking a substance over what I previously chose, which is fitness.”

Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino says he’s getting a much-need breather, but denies (mostly) that he is in rehab for any sort of substance abuse problem.
After TMZ reported that Sitch was in rehab Tuesday, a rep for the Jersey Shore star said that he was at an undisclosed location “for much needed rest.”
The rep chalked that up to “his extensive production and appearance schedule.” Now Mike’s personally commenting on the (sorry) situation as well:

In a morally commendable, financially disastrous move, the place wants Snooki to steer completely clear … even posting a sign on the door telling her to keep the hell out.
