Michael Jackson’s older brother Jermaine has a new, brighter outlook on life.
Thr 58-year-old Jermaine Jackson is now Jermaine Jacksun, with a “u.”
Really. A Los Angeles judge approved the official change on Friday.
The Jermaine Jackson name change, which he filed the paperwork for late last year, was sought solely for “artistic reasons,” according to the vocalist.
He insists it has nothing to do with the massive rift in his family over the care of MJ’s children last summer, which he later withdrew from to a degree.

Jermaine Jackson, one of the main players in the family revolt against the Michael Jackson Estate, has officially defected from the rebellion … mostly.
While he has “deep reservations” about their conduct, Jermaine is bowing out of official efforts to challenge the power of his late brother’s executors.

His passport expired and he can’t get a new one until he does.
