iPhone 5 Release Date: Coming September 12?!

Start scraping together your $200, because Apple just announced – without overtly saying as much – that it’s totally releasing the iPhone 5 next week!
The tech giant sent out invitations to various media outlets, beckoning them to an event at the Yerba Buena Center in San Francisco on September 12.
The implication of what’s being unveiled then is clear:
Of course, the invite doesn’t officially say the iPhone 5 is being released then, but the shadow “5″ and the tagline “it’s almost here” kinda give it away.
Might as well go stand in line now so you can get yours … could be cutting it

Michael McKean is one unlucky man. But very blessed at the same time.
After being struck by a car and breaking his leg in New York City on Tuesday, the film and theater star took to Twitter to express his thanks and relief.
“Lucky man: best wife, great kids, awesome docs and nurses, priceless friends; a little overwhelmed by the sweet tweets. Love all y’all,” he wrote.
McKean’s wife Annette O’Toole tweeted appreciation as well:
“Thank you dear people for your love and support. @MJMcKean and I so appreciative. He is getting great care. Spirits are good. Grateful, we.”

We had no idea Siri was a closet racist, however, until just now.
In a parody from Funny or Die, the virtual iPhone assistant offers advice to an African-American gentleman based solely on racial stereotypes.
This is the second funniest spoof on the iPhone after last winter’s nuclear marital Siri argument. When in doubt … call your parole officer.

Screenwriter Joe Eszterhas, who was collaborating with Mel Gibson on his ill-fated film The Maccabees before claiming in a letter Mel Gibson hates Jews, says he’s got proof that he witnessed the latest rage-filled rants from the troubled star.
His teenage son secretly recorded much of it, Eszterhas says.
“A lot of the stuff is on tape,” he tells TMZ. What stuff?
He says the recordings were made in Costa Rica by his son Nick, though he would not say if the following alleged comments by Mel were captured:

The singer has, for reasons unknown, fired back at those who took aim at Grammy Awards producers for inviting him to perform at music’s big night on Sunday.
Brown did nothing at all controversial during the show, and has been a model citizen of late. It’s understandably frustrating that people won’t let him move on.
