Horrible news today for all teenage boys in Iceland: the government of this North Atlantic nation is hoping to become the first county to actually ban pornography.
The proposal by Interior Minister Ogmundur Jonasson has created quite the stor, but this official’s political adviser doesn’t understand why.
Asks Halla Gunnarsdottir:
“When a 12-year-old types ‘porn’ into Google, he or she is not going to find photos of naked women out on a country field, but very hardcore and brutal violence. There are laws in our society. Why should they not apply to the Internet?”
A boy and his bulldog. Friends forever. National treasures.
Little Tasuku and his French Bulldog Muu are inseparable, and have become Internet sensations in recent days because, well, they’re just that cute. See?!
Apparently, the boy and his bulldog do everything together. They sit on the couch. Talk. Have snack. Take naps. It’s really tailor made for an Instagram account.
The boys’ mother, Aya Sakai, certainly thought so.
Her photos of the duo’s daily adventures have earned her 67,000 followers, who are smitten with Muu, Tasuku and their adorable, enduring friendship.
Gangnam Style is SO 2012.
The new Internet sensation that became grating to most of the known public many days ago is The Harlem Shake, a dance that has been popularized everywhere from Late Night with Jimmy Fallon to CollegeHumor.com.
And we can now count On Air with Ryan Seacrest among those practicing these random moves, as Kendall and Kylie Jenner stopped by this week and joined the crew in Shaking is like Harlem.

New Justin Bieber weed photos are apparently circulating around the Internet.
But TMZ now reports the singer may be in trouble for drug use that goes beyond marijuana.
Sources confirm that the latest images depict Bieber, Lil Za and Lil Twist rolling blunts while sitting outside a home in Los Angeles – with cups of sizzurp also sitting around them on the table.
Made famous in the gossip world by Lil Wayne, sizzurp is the street name for a bottle of codeine, especially when it’s mixed with fruit-flavored soda.

A new Justin Bieber pot smoking scandal may be on the way.
According to TMZ, new photos of the singer getting high are being shopped around the Internet. They feature Justin and Lil Za enjoying themselves some Mary Jane while outside a home in Los Angeles.
Za is the same person who was caught driving Bieber’s Ferrari early this morning without a license.
A few weeks ago, of course, Bieber was caught smoking up with Lil Twist, clearly holding a lit joint at a party. He later took to Twitter in response and promised to “be better.”

Lauren Conrad covers the March issue of Lucky, looking fabulous as ever and hinting that she’s ready to start a family with BF William Tell … someday.
One thing’s for sure, her life these days is a far cry from The Hills.
“Honestly, he studies all weekend and I’ve been working,” Conrad says of Tell, who’s in law school at USC, and began dating her on Valentine’s Day 2012.
Not that she’s leading a particularly high-profile life herself anymore: “I’m renovating a condo, so I’ve been spending my weekends shopping for home stuff.”

Chris Christie has become the first Republican to call out the NRA for its tactics against Barack Obama and those fighting for stricter gun control laws.
Earlier this week, an NRA ad hit the Internet that referred to Obama as an “elitist hypocrite” because his children attend a tightly-secured school.Chris Christie Slams NRA
“To talk about the president’s children, or any public officer’s children, who have – not by their own choice, but by requirement – to have protection, and to use that somehow to try to make a political point is reprehensible,” Christie said.

The teasing is over. The full-length cuteness has finally hit the Internet.
Following days’ worth of brief online teases, One Direction has finally released the music video for “Kiss You.”
It features the young British men driving a motorcycle and convertible, while also donning outfits in jail and staging a photoshoot in ski garb.
Does it make a great deal of sense? Not really. Will fans swoon over lyrics that include “if you don’t wanna take this slow/if you just wanna take me home/let me say yeah a yeah a yeah yeah a yeah / and let me kiss you?” We’d imagine so…One Direction – More >
Taylor Swift performed two hit songs on New Year’s Eve as part of ABC’s annual coverage from Times Square.
But it was the singer’s non-musical performance shortly after her set that has the Internet abuzz on the first day of 2013.
That’s because Swift celebrated at midnight with a certain British artist, laying a smooch on Harry Styles just as the ball dropped in New York City, a milestone captured by a fan standing nearby.
That milestone being the Swift and Styles kiss, of course, not the dropping of the iconic ball. See the love birds get to first base now:

Attention, Internet users: Instagram has an important message to pass along…
In response to uproar over the rumor that a new terms of service agreement would allow the company to sell photos without compensating the subject of said photos, co-founder Kevin Systrom has released a statement.
“[The new terms of service] was interpreted by many that we were going to sell your photos to others without any compensation. This is not true,” Systrom says.

Ryan Lanza is already grieving and no doubt floored by the deaths of his brother, Adam Lanza, their mother Nancy and the 26 other people Adam killed yesterday.
As if that weren’t enough to process, he was erroneously named as the man responsible for the Connecticut shooting by overzealous media outlets at first.
Many TV news outlets and websites were scrambling after reporting Ryan Lanza, 24, was the shooter, even though state and federal officials did not confirm this.
It is now believed that Adam Lanza, 20, had an ID of Ryan’s on him, leading to the initial confusion. But forMore >

It’s a sad and somewhat puzzling follow-up to a story that captured millions of hearts.
