Paul McDonald was not voted off American Idol this week (did you see who was?!?). But the season 10 finalist has another reason to be excited these days, according to E! News sources:
He’s dating Twilight Saga star Nikki Reed.
The pair first met at the premiere for Red Riding Hood (where McDonald is actually caught on camera, admitting he doesn’t know who Reed is) and have been “hanging out” ever since.
The actress has been off filming Breaking Dawn in Vancouver, while McDonald is busy in Hollywood these days, but an insider says they keep in touch via Skype. And this could give McDonald

That’s the angle Renee Zellweger took over the last few weeks, as friends say this famous couple recently split due to the actress’ desire to get married.

Sources confirm to Us Weekly that the outfielder and the singer are no longer an item, as the sexy crooner “was basically just over it,” an insider says. Adding that the relationship was “never as serious as it looked,” the friend concluded:
“He just can’t keep up with her crazy travel schedule.”

Demi Lovato spent Christmas with her family.
The troubled singer, who was stuck inside an Illinois treatment center for Thanksgiving, was granted a half-day reprieve from the facility on Saturday. Sources say she saw a movie with her mother, step-father and two sisters.
“She is doing good and is in good spirits,” an insider says of Demi’s overall progress. “She is committed to the program… She will stay as long as the doctor’s tell her she needs to stay.”
Last week, Lovato settled with Alex Welch, the back-up dancer she punched prior to admitting she needed help.

Earlier this week, Kim Kardashian told Ryan Seacrest she was prepared to hook-up in New York City. Now, sources tell In Touch Weekly she’s sunk her teeth (and other body parts) into actor Michael Copon.
