Josh Hutcherson turns 19 today. And it may be the final birthday this actor celebrates before he makes the leap to A-list status.
The young star, previously best known for briefly dating Vanessa Hudgens, has been cast as Peeta in The Hunger Games, a role that is sure to bring him a legion of rabid fans. Most of the female persuasion.
Hutcherson has also appeared in The Kids Are All Right and Journey to the Center of the Earth. But neither of these films can compare to the popularity of The Hunger Games.

The Hunger Games Casts Dayo Okeniyi, Amandla Stenberg

Two more roles in The Hunger Games have been filled.
Lionsgate has confirmed that the parts of Rue and Thresh of District 11 have officially been cast – Dayo Okeniyi will play strong and quiet District 11 tribute Thresh, while Amandla Stenberg will play Katniss Everdeen’s young ally Rue.

Unlike her past two naked picture scandals, Vanessa Hudgens does not have Zac Efron to confide in.
But in light of yet another round of nude photos spreading across the Internet, the Sucker Punch star has a different man to whom she can turn: actor Josh Hutcherson.
Rumors of these former co-stars (they filmed Journey 2: The Mysterious Island in late 2010) dating started to surface a couple weeks ago. Are they an official item? We don’t know. But they did take a motorcycle ride in Studio City yesterday, ending up at Vanessa’s house, as seen here:

Vanessa Hudgens has a new tattoo… and a new man?
The actress was spotted getting cozy with Josh Hutcherson at an after-party for Beastly this week, sources tell People:
“Their arms were wrapped around each other, and they were really touchy together. They were very cute.”
Hutcherson also brought Hudgens as his date to the Independent Spirit Awards on Saturday night where his latest movie, The Kids Are All Right, won best screenplay.
“Josh walked Vanessa to the bathroom and then guided her to their seats with a hand on the small of her back,” an onlooker told the magazine.
